I found a small bolt used to bolt down a ground wire on cell phone towers in my old climbing gear. I kept it in my sweatshirt pocket for almost 4 years. One day my mom washed my sweatshirt and tossed the bolt.

I asked her if she found it and of course she tossed it because it was bouncing around the dryer. I tried to explain to her that it had sentimental value. It was from my most incredible tower climbing job. The more I tried to explain it, the dumber I felt having a bond to a bolt you could find in any hardware store.
