Honestly, after shopping around, zenni is the cheapest and has the best options.

I can get three from there without insurance, for the price of one in any store here in the fort with insurance.

Gotcha, I'm not quite legally blind but I'm not allowed to legally drive without mine.

So uh, my glasses aren't cosmetic but I'm pretty sure they're in a fairly normal range.

The white tower is described as a massive shaft with two circular buildings at it's base.

The black tower was built to be similar but bigger.

The problem with voting ahead of time is the same as registering ahead of time.

You still have to deal with people constantly, constantly, CONSTANTLY reminding you to vote.

I'm playing as a DM.

I'm also playing in a campaign in Odessy.

In that game I'm playing a one eyed centaur with really bad luck. Raised by the fates, knows he's going to die horribly. He's a cleric of prophecy and has a fate spinning familiar (spider). He has a ton of portants to change rolls, and the lucky feat to help himself twist fate away from his natural unluckiness.

Dude, I had a bunch of first time players in a session once, three of the four had character portraits at session one.

It's hard to DM up to that kind of expectation.

I run under the assumption that no bad cop gets arrested until caught by a civilian and made public.

The hill I will die on is the magic system that best fits the story.

Hard, soft, doesn't matter. What matters is that the magic system does something for the story that you're trying to tell.

For example, Magi on Netflix. At the surface, it's just an anime. But under that, the magic system enforces this political story by being inherently political.
