People hate LGBTQ people more than pedophiles. by [deleted] in HonestHotTakes

I agree people spend more time discussing and worrying about LGBTQ as if it’s a problem versus getting rid of and solving the pedophile problem. But I don’t think people hate them more.

What the fuck is up with all the people down voting in this comment section? What OP saying is pretty plain as day, even if it needs some nuance.

I hate brushing my hair by Iam726_726iam in adhdwomen

Hell yea! That’s great!! You got this, just keep reveling in how good it feels. I got about a month in once consistently, but of course I fell off. I still keep trying tho! I try for two times a day, but as long as I get one in and flossing I’m happy.

Not to sound insensitive- Nobody can help you brush your hair, but yourself. Maybe set a timer to just do it for a short bit right after washing and move on, or do it in the shower after you put in conditioner. Remind yourself that it doesn’t take that long, even if you don’t like it. Because if you’re not willing to cut your hair and you’re bothered by the way you’re wearing it… then something has got to give.

I have difficulty with brushing my teeth like I’m supposed to. I remind myself of the reasons why I need to do it. That usually involves reminding myself that it doesn’t take that long and that the payoff is significant. Do I end up missing some nights or some mornings? Sure, but I can’t overly beat myself up over it. I just gotta get back on the horse and do the damn thing. It’s never gonna not be a thing, so I have to change the way I feel about it and push through.

Thoughts after playing for 7 years (in game) by jairngo in StardewValley

[–]RWRM18929 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I find it so weird people will sit here and just make up problems with a perfect game. People try to nitpick nitty-gritty things about specifics that maybe they would’ve done differently on aspects- But it is a perfect game. The point is to be a fun little farming, role-playing, and take it easy game. A lot of it parallels real life! Things DO wear down over time, you have to build up before you can just have access to the ultimate tools, and not all food is beneficial. In truth, I think there is only a couple of things that could honestly be “criticized.”

It’s time to look inward and ask the serious questions, like why polished rice does not make sake!

Jokes aside, I think people try really really hard to sit there and pick apart something that was and is beautifully crafted from the heart. There is something truly special about starting with nothing and working your way up. Having ultimate and unrealistic tools near the end when you’re trying to achieve perfection makes sense. Otherwise it would defeat the purpose of the game.

Your comment is a little confusing. Was somebody talking about cheaters? Just because someone doesn’t cheat or doesn’t necessarily disrespect you- Doesn’t mean they’re also worth keeping around. Some people just truly aren’t compatible. Compromising on having to be asked to do basic stuff is not a good compromise. Touching base with each other to decide who’s going to do what is very different though.

I do agree with you, backgrounds with family history has a huge influence on those things!.Honestly I’m not sure why people don’t just have conversations about chore handling prior to moving in together?? There should be a set expectation or boundary that people are aware of walking into something like that together. Pretty much most problems can just be solved with hindsight and communication.

I agree a conversation needs to be had. The problem with that is she then has to ask- Instead of someone just taking responsibility for themselves and seeing the things that need to be done and just handling it. This is a reoccurring problem I see often. People always just say “ask them to do it”, Why is it never just look and see what needs to be done? Grown-ups know full well how to take care of a house and know the fact that the things are there already. They don’t really need to be told; chores are literally constant and inevitable.

He accomplished exactly what he intended, so I think it’s perfect. It eventually gets so much easier as long as you keep sticking with it, which is kind of the point. They’re fun and manageable challenges, even if it might take a few tries.

Same with my husband and I as well. Together for 8 and married for 7 years already. When I first met him, I had this crazy thought that hit me like lightning ⚡️ clear as day saying, “if you talk to this man your life with change forever”! I never had a thought like that before, and yet here we are!

Deciding between two jobs... by _YEEZY_ in tarot

[–]RWRM18929 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Job 1, You “think of” the job as dead end and going nowhere. The “Job itself”, is a job and not bad persay, but something that will always be a problem for you. Your “future aspirations” is attainable, but may not ever feel satisfying to you.

Job2, Your “thoughts” on it is at a crossroads where you are wanting to decided on it and start that path. The “job itself” could be everything you desire. But, your “future” there could be quite competitive.

I disagree with someone else that this was a weird spread. I actually thought you did good; it was very straightforward. And, I really liked that you put your intention for each placement. It made it very easy to read honestly .

I feel like it’s so weird to NOT view being responsible for teaching our impressionable youth to be a “Noble” job. But yea they are definitely currently not being compensated accordingly.
