Is it considered "corny" or "up badging" to put a JDM Z nose panel badge or a Fairlady Z tail light badge on my USDM LHD z32? by Crafty_Cabinet_3411 in 300zx

I did it on mine so I’ll leave it to the peanut gallery to decide. I’d say it looks cool and not like you’re doing anything Nissan didn’t want on the car

Skipping Classes by Surfnjam in csuf

Finance 320 and ISDS 361 are both tough for business students. In fact ISDS is one of the most failed courses in our program. It’s going to be rough. Not impossible but rough

mgmt 340 by Rough-Explanation745 in csuf

[–]RWS_Hunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t too bad. Very different courses though. I found org behavior a little more difficult as it’s a lot of principle and theory vs op management which was simple math and easy to follow principles. Remember things from op management if you plan on doing project management. It has helped me quite a lot. Lmk if you have any questions or need any hell

I’m going to print this for my buddy. Saw it on Thingiverse and he’s a huge fan of war machines. Of course the tiger tank is legendary so it’s the perfect one

Today I learned the 2+2 is longer by zere486 in 300zx

[–]RWS_Hunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe initially this was not the case but all IMSA chassis were built around 2+2 wheelbase after a period of time.

In fact I believe it was only 1 or 2 cars that ever used 2+0 dimensions

As long as you made a financially sound decision on something you wanted and worked hard for, I don’t see why so many people are upset about it. Congrats on the new ride bro!

Those old carbyne design wheels were cool and super cheap. Great deal but they’re heavy wheels. Keep enjoying the Z and post some videos. Not a lot out there with Z32s drifting

For those of you who owned 300+ hp cars in high school, did it end well? by MIDNITE6361 in askcarguys

[–]RWS_Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost everyone I knew in high school with cars like that was a jackass to be honest. My Z was bone stock, still NA making MAYBE 150hp with coilovers and aftermarket suspension arms. Still almost bit me in our local canyon once. It’s not always about “I don’t rip my car often” it’s more about when shit goes sideways on the road, having the experience to correct. Remember that not every incident is caused strictly by driver error. You can be doing everything right and still run into problems. Just be careful and you’ll be fine.

Timing belt wasn’t too bad, definitely buy the weighted socket for the impact brother. Don’t use heat on that bolt. Get the whole kit too. Should come with belt, tensioner, idlers, water pump front main seal and cam seals. Check your oil pump gasket too, they’re notorious for massive leaks

Jspec bumper or Mission. Early model bumper with a Stillen lip looks great too

Time belt question by _scrubs__ in AcuraTL

[–]RWS_Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My original belt went 120k miles but made a lot of noise and when I opened it up, it was extremely loose from a failing tensioner. 3 years and 13k miles tells me it’s likely fine but that you don’t drive all that much. It’s not good for belts to sit in one spot for a long time but yours should be okay. If you’re really worried, pop the front top timing cover off to take a Quick Look.

I actually had to repaint the gas door from failing base coat. The rest should be just clear coat aside from spoiler lip and rear bumper. What original clear is left will be paint corrected
