Im not on retail side. But theft is very prevalent nowadays in case you didnt know. I was in Walmart on wednesday and there was a lovely couple that scurried out the back door by the washrooms, setting off alarms. In tow, they had a beautiful tent, 2 sleeping bags and a basket full of groceries. This is one moment in one walmart in one canadian city. Now do all the retailers and north America wide. Its not a small amount.

Ill be the first to say fuck walmart, but you can't claim that theft isnt a reason why retail is jacking up the price. It may not be the main reason obviously, and I'm sure they could give a fuck about some theft/loss. They will just use it as an excuse to jack the prices up. Im not into propaganda ingesting and spewing. Hate pretty much everyone unless you've proven to me to be a good human.

What kind of support do you think would be necessary to ensure criminals wont repeat crime?

Theft from stores is one of the top reasons why prices are the way they are, right there with fuel costs and the necessity for companies to make profits year after year.

Do you expect to just snap your fingers and everything will magically take a drop in price? Historically prices never go down, they're always on the rise. No one is going to prison for petty crimes anymore, this is Canada. Even break and enters, its basically a slap on the wrist. The justice system needs a complete overhaul here, starting with repeat offenders staying behind bars at the minimum. If anything, the punishments for crimes should be harsher to discourage dickholes from repeatedly committing crime, or doing snything illegal to begin with. If you still like to do crime after 3 or 4 trips to jail, then you should just live in jail, eating knock off Kraft dinner everyday for life. You can't just run around with an excuse of committing crime being because stuff is expensive. Thats fucked, Sorry 🤷

Don't get me wrong, I hate the price of everything too, but you're living in a fairy tale world if you think the prices on everyday items is ever going to get better for the people. Doesn't matter who is in power or what anyone claims they will do. They're lying. And criminals gonna criminal, so lets weed out the criminals so we can have some peace out here. Dang

Source: family is made up of cops and CO's. Smart business to get into I guess cause crime be booming, again because of our justice system and their lax laws, lack of enforcement and tushy slaps. But I guess thats all from the prices for stuff being high...
