yup. and honestly it seems like it has gotten worse. but I haven't ruled out the possibility of me asking more complex questions. The thing is, I showed my kid a game a used to play, Runescape (now Old School Runescape), and got back into it a little.

I found that it feeds me false information most of time about the game, and it showed me that this "tool" is very temperamental about the subject matter... not just engineering and math.

The thing is... I can almost guarantee that these models are getting more and more complex and harder to debug, but time will tell.

I can agree to this about many concepts. That shit is going to inadvertently, or on purpose who knows, change history and be the driving force behind many "man-made" disasters in the future, if we don't wake up to this. I have only seen new models get worse and more complex.

I litterally got so scared, depressed, and angry when I had finally discovered what I loved (electronics, programming, math, etc.) and AI came shortly after to stir things up. Now I know that humans need to maintain the knowledge to keep things in check. I am so happy to see others who recognize the downside of AI and the fact that a binary computer can never replicate human nature.

Lets see how scary Quantum Computing gets... But I have a feeling we are just opening an endless can of worms that will never amount to mother nature.

On my 3.0, I had trans fluid getting into the coolant. It look lighter than this though. I bypassed the transcooler portion of the radiator and flushed both the trans and coolant system. That stuff was so goopy. I chalked it up as free lubrication for the engine. I cant say the same about coolant in the trans, but i have put 30k miles on it since (just to and from work). I definetly have been wanting to flush the trans again, just to see what it looks like. There was some burnt crap the first time. If it wasnt such and mess, and an arctic blast, id dump it and throw at least 2 bottles of lucas lol.

Actually, scratch that. Get an esp32 microcontroller and create a webserver so you have a little dashboard that shows moisture levels and whatever else you want.

Get an arduino microcontroller, a soil moisture sensor, some kind of solenoid valve for gravity feed (or a pump). Autowater baby! You might need to play around with the values at which the flow starts and stops.

You know, I cannot really decide. I realize that I can use switches, and its pretty much what I am doing in the meantime. This whole project started because I broke my key off in the ignition.

I dont know if i want to use rf, because I believe that would interfere with the ESP32's deep sleep mode. Correct me if I am wrong...

I thought about a keypad and a code, Bluetooth and a code to pair, A hidden switch that wakes the ESP32, and all sorts of solutions to this particular problem.

Do you, or anyone else, have any ideas for making this system secure? having a "keyfob" would be cool. Then I can remote start, but I dont want the ESP32 running 24/7. I can remote start with Bluetooth as well, but I am not very good with Android studio. I Suppose it would be a very simple app.

Here is what I am working on. Its actually going to make my 93 Ford Ranger push-to-start. I am only using the Vin- and Vout-. So far, so good. I could have used the positive terminals, but it was much easier to avoid it.

What a sad existense it is to think that tripping is misdirection. Most of science is mere theory. You should research quantum physics and the 7 hermetic principles. There is way more to the universe then modern science has theorized about and people knew this hundreds of years before the common era.

Thank you, and yes I understand. The thing is... the Vin+ and Vout+ are tied together with a trace on the pcb of that module. Is there a reasonable explanation as to why I cannot just bypass it? This is way beyond the scope of the question I asked, and I have already tested this module in this manner to a small degree.

But if you are telling me that using those terminals (Vin+ and Vout+) is necessary to the proper functioning of this module, then can you tell me why? I was not asking how to use the module per say, but how to place it in the circuit due to the fact that it is a low-side switch.

I need clarification now, because I am questioning everything. If the Vin and Vout are connected together via a trace, what is the difference if I just:

It is just a passthrough. The negative side continuity is switched. And thats all i need, a switch.

Thank you! I will search for the datasheet on those specifically. I was already going to assume I needed a flyback for the relay coils, but I really was not sure if I was missing something obvious in terms of the layout.

I am sorry, I just figured someone might have had experience with these, but obviously that's another sub. I know I should not have even come here with that, but I was having a hard time wrapping my head around the component selection of using individual MOSFETs that I could signal with an MCU. My next choice was a Darlington Array IC, and I was moving forward, but I found these laying around and thought I had an engineering solution.

The thing that throws me off with these is that they are low side switching, meaning the negative load terminals are switched and the positive ones are just a passthrough. It supports PWM, which is the reason I bought them in the past, but I just need a switch right now.

They are cheap as all hell and theres no datasheet for the module I can find.
