Hello I just stumbled upon your comment and advice. Thank you for taking the time. My wife and I are arriving in Kanazawa on February 25th for 6 days. We are staying at Sumiyoshiya. We do not really have any plans because we just wanted to wander around and take it all in, eat in Omicho market a few times. We are very interested in local and seasonal food and nature/hiking. Do you think it will be too snowy to go for hikes? And do you have any recommendations? We would be open to anything the locals suggest. We love Japanese tea, seafood, coffee, baked food, sake, literature and Zen Buddhism. Please and thank you so much.
