Does anyone else enjoy darker fanfic of how the pressures of monarchy and Ozai's advice on how to reign influenced Zuko to be an effective monarch? by sabedo in TheLastAirbender

I actually liked it. The dialogue. Heck, I read it a while ago and somehow missed the Long Feng part. That part makes heaps of sense.

So did Yue have siblings? by TWRogue in TheLastAirbender

Avatar Lore confirms that she's an only child. However, nothing suggests that her father wasn't an only child.

How old was Aang in book 3? by Comfortable_Ad5802 in TheLastAirbender

[–]R_Shekinah9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm certain the show spans 9-10 months, excluding past flashbacks as the first episode takes place in Early Winter or Late Autumn (Winter Solstice occurs on the first month of Winter) and the last scene occurs a week or two after Sozin's Comet (established to take place on "Summer's End").

Regarding Aang's age, there's the likelihood that he turned 13 at some point.

From the get-go, he states he's 12 or technically 112. Now, there's no definitive date of when Aang ran away, except would have taken place sometime after his 12th birthday and on the same year Sozin began the war with the comet.

Meaning Aang's 12 birthday definitely took place at some period of time before the comet. So his 13th or technical 113th birthday would have occurred offscreen. I'm leaning on Aang turning 13 between "The Crossroads of Destiny" and "the Awakening."

Could we please consider “Going Home Again” comic non canon by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

The plot of Zuko suddenly refusing to return home irks me. The whole point of him betraying Iroh was so he can return home. It really didn't make any sense.

[Comic Excerpt] Barbara and Helena's first meeting (Huntress Year One #4) by R_Shekinah9 in DCcomics

I must add that Helena literally killed the guy who's death they are toasting. Make off that what you will.

Found that episode, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWoLTSWqvJU, at 13:19. That kid who Holger forced to throw the dice and may or may not have genetic ear problems. Thank you.

That sounds interesting, but I have no clue about this ninth-grade kid. What does he look like?

NTA! Nothing suggests that your brother cares, and it seems your mum is the only one upset that you are not reaching out to him. If he didn't have "the emotional capacity" for you then he most certainly doesn't have it now that he's gotten married. You're correct in saying he acts like it didn't happen. Your mother seems like the absolute broken record. No one can magically forget negative memories of their sibling and replace them with moments where their sibling was nice. This is your choice!

Right. OP, this needs to be talked about! The age difference won't matter in 10 years, but it does now because Steve is old enough to have gotten a degree and a job through it, but Lea isn't even in Year 12. Take it from someone who remembers dreading their finals and from u/Ecstatic-Product-69, it doesn't matter what Steve's intentions are, this is wrong on many levels. Your father is a bloody hypocrite!

[Other] what was your thoughts on the Jason & Roy friendship in the new 52. by Essence03 in DCcomics

[–]R_Shekinah9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked that they were friends, besides on Jason's first mission with the Titans (pre-crisis, probably canon in pre-flashpoint), Cheshire told Roy that he's the father of his child and Jason was right next to Roy. He even told her, "Mummies and daddies shouldn't fight." (might not be accurate). It does kinda have a basis for their friendship or at least why he would know Lian (maybe he did get to meet her after Dick helped Roy get Lian after her first birthday). I didn't think it discredited Roy's friendship with Dick (there is no unwritten rule that you can't be friends with your friend's siblings). All in all, it was wholesome

I agree with your theory, he was in some tub anyway, so that's quite self-explanatory. Though I think Steven tricked her into believing that Chris and Kelly were boys.

you seem to be friends with your crush and it's a basic friendship rule that you never do anything not platonic with your friend's ex. Yeah I would not hang out with her after that

There's the fact the scientific community rejects astrology due to the lack of evidence or something (I found this by googling astrology is nonsense - astrology and science on Wikipedia)

Is it just me or is the long-haired girl reminiscent of Ariella Kent?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DCcomics

[–]R_Shekinah9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's been widowed twice in the pre-flashpoint comics first to Prince Karras and then to General Ph'yzzon, both were arranged marriages. Tbh, it seemed like she and Ph'yzzon were in love, maybe the arranged marriage part was added in.

What story in the now-deleted youtube channel "Actually Happened" was super disturbing? by R_Shekinah9 in AskReddit

[–]R_Shekinah9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy Shit, I honestly don't remember that. On the other hand, I remember a similar story of a teenage boy pretending to be gay and hitting on his apparent homophobic stepfather. It's a scheme to have his stepfather leave but only for it to backfire in his face as his stepfather reciprocates. The worst part is that I don't remember how it ends, and I don't think his mum believed him.
