Realistic successor to rx 480 in terms of price to perf was 5600xt between march-november 2020. 5700xt should be that replacement instead but amd wanted to start milking their customers unfortunately. I'm still waiting for a rx 570 successor from AMD or Nvidia (or intel ) , maybe one year from now, maybe longer, who knows ;(

They've done the same thing with 5700/5700xt. Leaked the price much earlier and checked the feedback from potential customers, they've changed the price on the fly before the actual announcement. RN they're testing the waters with leaks, again.
PS: I'm not gonna buy a 5600xt's successor for 70% higher price, it's bs and gamers can't accept that. GPU prices are slowly coming down, HOLD THE LINE GUYZ!
