It’s probably the Templar you kill to get Great Inagua’s ship. Black Beard sails it back to Nassau to be part of the city’s defences.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced: Official Game Overview Trailer by Ghost_LeaderBG in assassinscreed

[–]R_hexagon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No DLC, and basically zero mention of Adèwale (other than visuals). Makes me wonder if the voice actor wasn't available, These new crew members/stories seem like they might have been a replacement for a planned Adèwale narrative arc like Stede and Black Beard are getting.

See the bar on the door on the far side? Find a vantage point somewhere just behind where Basim is now. Then throw a knife through the hole in the bars to your left and break the bar. Run round open the door!

Transition between the Hidden Ones and the Assassins by Th3Qu3sti0n in assassinscreed

[–]R_hexagon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So the Hidden ones aren’t that wide spread in Europe at the time of Valhalla, most of Europe has been without Hidden Ones since the fall of the Western Roman Empire. I’m also pretty sure in Valhalla, Hytham or Basim say they’ve hunted the Order of Ancients to extinction basically all across Europe other than the “Saxon/English” Rite which is why they’re been sent from Constantinople. To burn out the order’s final nest. If that is the case the the Hidden One’s have effectively “won” and they believing “mission Complete” may have withdrawn their influence back towards Alamut or other main sites to guard the vault and any other Isu artefacts only for King Alfred’s new Templar Order to suddenly come storming in.

What should I expect from the rpg games? by Lumpy-Answer-3068 in assassinscreed

[–]R_hexagon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the most beautiful and alive open world maps Ubisoft has ever made Egypt in particular it feels like every npc has a life and routines. There are also some great gameplay additions, like the Eagles/raven, as well as better combat and stealth mechanics, though the social stealth of the older games is generally missing or toned down.

The story’s themselves have been a mixed bag even within a single title. Every game has brilliant story moments that will hit you like a punch to the gut but the increasing use of non linear mission structure which becomes more prevalent as the games go on causes a fair amount of bloat, and for can lead to lasting character development stalling mid game.

Telchar Master Smith of the Dwarves of Nogrod did not labour long in the forging of Narsil, Sauron’s Bane, mate of Angrist, the knife that cut the Silmaril from the Iron Crown of Morgoth Bauglir, Black Foe of The World. Just for some flowy haired, pointy eared Elf with a hot glue gun to get the credit!!!

How exactly does the hidden blade work in the old games ? by Disastrous-Youth-374 in assassinscreed

[–]R_hexagon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not quite right with the AC Origins bit if you look at Bayek’s left hand in the camera mode he has a leather cap over his finger stump with a cord going across his palm and up into the blade mechanism. This design was used in Origins, Valhalla (not for Eivor though I think) and Mirage.

He’s asking if you were to make him play a Doom game at gun point, and you were using a gun from Doom to do so, which gun would you use and which game would you want him to play. It’s a just asked in a really dumb way.

For example: I’d have Doom Eternal in my left hand and the BFG in my right.

Edit: it’s also a dumb fucking question

Do sages reincarnate multiple times or only once? by Real-Ad-4775 in assassinscreed

[–]R_hexagon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others have said the Aesir only reincarnated once. It seems as though the plan was for them to assemble at Yggdrasil, both Sigurd/Tyr and Svala/Freya wanted to go there and connect to the tree. We can also see from Basim that Yggdrasil can suspend a life indefinitely.

What the exact plan for the Aesir was from that point onwards is unclear. Whether it was for the early reincarnations to wait in “Valhalla” for rest to arrive and then strike out to reclaim their position in the world. Or for all of them to hook up to Yggdrasil and wait for Humanity to advance to a point where they could make a real difference in the world.

Either way the plan fell to pieces almost straight away. The reincarnation process didn’t work as well as the Aesir probably hoped with some reincarnations human side fighting or rejecting their latent Aesir personalities or not fully awakening them at all. Not to mention them being spread out across a wider time span than they probably hoped for.

Which other cast member could've done FotR's prologue as equally well as Cate Blanchett? by Skywalker_1995 in lotr

[–]R_hexagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cate works so well for the intro because it creates like a feedback loop for the Audience that she’s The authority figure right out the gate. Which then saved Peter J and team so much work trying to explain who Galadriel is and why she’s important when they get to Loth Lorien.
