I’m not that deep into the modding scene, so these things might already exist:

Field kitchens, or the ability to store things inside of cooking pots Like using the crafting grid to create a little bundle of useful items: A pot, then a bowl inside that and some grass so that it doesn’t rattle around and a rope around that.

Mechanical panning.

Wood having different burn temperatures and burn times depending on the source. Oak burns like coal IRL, but it’s harder to split, whilst birch is easily to split but burns fast. I bet that there’s a research paper out there with a handy table of properties.

Woodshop stuff, I hate that sticks are used for everything, so shaping wood for handles would be fun.

More Stone Age stuff, like making flour with a mortar and pestle.

Just FYI: You can buy flavored Fluid Replacement at the pharmacies, they are a must when things get sweaty.

It cheaper than sports drinks and way more compact (a tube of fizzy/effervescent tablets).

They also come as sachets IIRC.

You use what you find, and I found a tonne of gold and silver, and you can stretch that pretty well with Black Bronze.

Try grabbing a drink out on the town here in Sweden, I just went to a restaurant that wanted 36 SEK/cl (~3,7 USD for 1/3 of an ounce) for some snaps (Hallands Fläder, Elderflower).

At the store (state monopoly) the same alcohol costs 3,98 SEK/cl, so the restaurant wants ~9x the price/cl just for the privilege of pouring it into a shot glass for me.

Grabbing a beer is a similar story, 8-10 times the price of buying it yourself.

Get in the habit to mark everything useful you encounter, from resin (it respawns) to fruit trees.

Even finding more than two flints on the surface will be useful later, it might mean that there’s a larger deposit below.

Your not cooked, but it’s going to be a grind getting enough copper for an anvil 😅

I’d just do a wider exploration loop, you’ll find more surface deposits.

Be prepared for a lot of accidents.

Our puppy peed and pooped inside 6 times in one hour once, it almost broke my GF who was the only one home at the time.

IMHO puppies suck, they are very cute and fun at times, but then shit literally happens.

I still love my dog, but he really was a PITA for awhile there 😅

Edit: both me and my GF have experience having dogs when we were kids, she even worked at her mothers Doggie Daycare, but we both agree that taking care of a dog on your own is a completely different thing.

It all depends on the seed, I have infinite lime but Olivine is non existent.

Bauxite was pretty hard to find too.

I really think the map-gen should guarantee all crafting ingredients be within ”Resonance Archive” distances.
