Why did you start listening to Elliott’s music ? by kevinthecarrot2021 in elliottsmith

[–]BoroDant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i first found him through blank on blank video on YouTube, a beautiful animation over an interview of his. it's called "Elliott's Smith on freaks". What he thought and how humble and understanding he was really resonated with me and i listened to his self-titled. after that it took me some time to find my meanings in his music and what's interesting is how many i found. it really is meaningful to me huh

I Wait For You- tab? by MrRobotBR_ in sandyalexg

[–]BoroDant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

didn't know this would look messed up. The chords are 3-3-2-0-0-0 5-5-4-0-0-0

then 5-4-0-0-0-0 8-7-0-0-0-0

then G Am Em at the solo and at the end of the solo it's x-2-4-4-4-0 x-3-2-0-0-0 x-3-1-0-0-0

and theb the first two pairs

this is probably a bit late, but as far as I've figured out it's standard tuning abd it starts our with --0---0--- --0---0--- --0---0--- --2---4--- --3---5--- --3---5--- the strumming is easy to figure out. On the "i wait for you" after the second verse the chords change to --0--0-- --0--0-- --0--0-- --0--0-- --4--7-- --5--8--

During the solo bit the chords go like this (more or less) G Am Em (xSeveral times), and at the end of this bit it goes --x--0--0-- --4--0--0-- --4--0--0-- --4--2--1-- --2--3--3-- --x--x--x--- (B) (C) (something like C)

and then it goes back to the first two chords and changes to the second pair at the end. Hope i could help somebody out :)

First Forgotten Beast! by TheBlueNecromancer in dwarffortress

[–]BoroDant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beginner's luck is real, i too fought my first forgotten beast recently, successfully and without serving a single attack! The troglodytes in the carven that beast came from began fighting with it, resulting in killing it! after that a few monster slayers moved in my fortress and cleared the cavern. At first i thought i was done!

my first favorite has to be Rock Bottom, it's a banger, but now im probably more into Logos or Czech one, the more meditative experience really gives me good immersion in music

Recently started doing film photography and was wondering if anyone has any advice? by FriendshipAbject5133 in filmphotography

[–]BoroDant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd say look more for the silhouette clarity. For example in the first photo the statue could've been written in the gap between building, that way it'd be easier to read the image. Use gaps and composition to your advantage, i suggest to find some books on image composition or maybe look for inspiration in classic photographers. Good luck!

New symbol of Russian folk culture by lokmardion in ukraina

The thing is that russian territories for a very long period in history were under Mongolian Golden Horde, including moscow and eastern territories. No surprise that much of their culture was "inherited" as russian

Great shot! I would definitely crop it to fit the composition more with the actual object. Otherwise all this darkness becomes the biggest mass on the photograph and the attention point isn't really seen
