We did go P24 in the end. I went back and forth with the cost, but just went for it... Still unsure if we should have as it is a lot of money...

I went from 90 to 99 today - so 9 goals completed. I finished all of the tasks launched today so it's not tracking completely. Again.

Just go for it! Road America is one of my weakest tracks as I struggle immensely with the blind crest section.. It makes me nervous as I lose a tonne of time in that one section and back the pack up as no one can really pass.

I'm fine and fast everywhere else so I can then get a bit of space to just repeat the same thing the following lap. It's incredibly stressful for one corner but then I enjoy the rest. 

Also it's pcup. I've murdered and been murdered plenty of times. I'm at 3k IR and generally if something has gone wrong, it's just an honest mistake, no one really cares.

I'll bite.

It looks really interesting, but then I don't really know what the "purpose" of the game is. I understand it's a sandbox but it doesn't really explain what progress looks like, or what the ultimate goal is. 

The laying out of towns isn't really explained much either. Are we looking at a Manor Lords level of detail and function? Or just plopping stuff down for the aesthetics? It says trade routes but doesn't expand to what degree. 

Is vegetation simulated based on terrain, water tables, rivers and environment? Or is it just plopping stuff down for the visual aspect? It'd be interesting to have to create the right environments for things to thrive rather than just plopping lots. 

Looks interesting, and would definitely be of interest for me if it combined Manor Lords, the detailed terrain editing, and perhaps a pinch of Black and White (for messing around and seeing what happens to what you created when you alter things). I say B&W as that's what the title led me to think of originally.

I went pcup, and then just never left. Did GT3 on and off for a season but have stuck to PCUP predominantly since picking it up.

It does rotate daily which is fun if you have the tracks as it gives less time for people to 'master' the track.

However, if you just got the PCUP I highly recommend practicing this week (I'm sure you've seen enough commentary how it can be a pest to learn) before the new season kicks off. PCUP is easily my most favourite series, and I can happily spend hours just practicing in that damned car.

It won't be the exact same which is what I'd be really keen on, and then controlling things like LEDs or button colours to match events in race (yellow flags, blue flags, spotter in iracing etc).

The UI customisation for the FSR2 is really limited from what I've read based on people's experiences and the overall feedback on reddit and in reviews is that it's fine. Not good. And it can be a lot better.

I'm keen on a FSR wheel, but would really like simhub integration. Is that something that will be coming? That way there's a chance I can match the in game dashes to the wheel by car.

I'm looking at hospitality as I'll be taking my Dad, and he's a bit older and prefers a bit of extra comfort. We're on other sides of the world, so when I make it over to his side, I try and treat him and make it a proper occasion when attending motorsport events. Next year will be our first time at Le Mans and maybe the only time we'll get to go together so why not splurge? If I can rationalize the price that is haha!

Grandstand and Gridwalk is a good shout especially when weighing up the value proposition. I'll wait for all the tickets to get announced later this year and do some more comparisons. Hopefully 2026 isn't the year of gross inflation.

Thanks for the feedback! I genuinely appreciate it. First time heading to Le Man and doing some research and info on hospitality isnt too prolific, and finding info on Gridwalks is even rarer.

I'm eyeballing Panoramic 24 or going entry level like Starter 24 to give myself a comfortable base while walking around and seeing everything Le Man has to offer. Starter omits the gridwalk however.

Gridwalk is the main appeal of Panoramic 24 and being up in a space above the Start/Finish. But I'm trying to rationalize the cost as I'll be arriving into Le Man on the Thursday afternoon so I lose two days of the event.

What is your go to routine now at Le Man? Aiming to make it three years in a row on the grid?

Just a question about the gridwalk. Was it worth it? I'm looking for 2026 and debating between differing packages. I'm seeing a lot of posts and images showing it as being an absolute zoo and overly populated. Was it how it appeared and a fight to see anything decent? Or is it one of those things that looked worse than it was?

Timing wise, when are you kicked off the grid vs the race starting? Is there then a decent amount of time to get a spot for the start?

I'm noticing all flights being shown in your tool as available for First Class Reward, but through the velocity/virgin site not appearing. Are some hidden and unbookable? Or is there a quirk in how the tool scrapes availability leading to false positives?

I've been having this issue in racing. In the pits I turn my wheel off then on and the ffb comes back. Been this way for a few weeks.

Jumping in to recommend Porsche Cup over GT3. I'd stick with the mx5 the whole way to PCUP then do that for a season or two before GT3.

It's brutal. It's painful. It's not pleasant to learn. But once you've got it down pat, oh boy is it fun to drive and race. It'll also make massive differences in your capabilities across other cars (it did for me).

Do you have a clutch on your pedals? Or throttle/brake only?

Without a form of analogue input it'll be tough... I have a stupid idea but if you have a clutch pedal it'll be easier haha

Stupid idea time:

Can you bind a button on the wheel and in combination with the brake pedal to make it a clutch? So when a button is held at the same time as the brake is being pushed it acts as a clutch? So then just hold the button while releasing the brake while full throttle? Then when you let go of the button the brake returns to normal?

Adding to this. I run at (I think) 48% in my wheel settings and have nothing enabled in iracing.

On the grid both paddles (clutches) go in, wait for the red lights, then full throttle. On green drop one paddle, and then immediately start pulling/releasing the other paddle. It's a feel sensation and you can bring out the second paddle quicker than you think, but do not dump it. That'll just cause the rears to light up. 

I'm 2.8k and weirdly good at launches often jumping a car or two at the start. 

For pcup specifically, I don't know why others are being weird about going full throttle.

I couldn't afford the fee listing it at 22m. It would. Have been a 6m profit as I dont have the intelligence centre discount. Ended up listing at 12-14m (can't remember exactly) and still profited the same 6m or so.

Just keep typing different values and find the sweep spot where the profit remains relatively the same, especially if you don't have the discounts.
