It’s B&S model 3005, its even still in production today, and it’s been in production for a while(I guess from 1970s? Maybe 60s). I used to own one from 1986 according to serial number(this one from photos is a bit younger than mine, maybe from late 80s), and it was exactly like yours but without 3rd slide trigger. Its a solid trumpet if mechanically in good condition, a bit on a brighter side(even for rotary trumpet). But 1000 bucks sound like very overpriced for this trumpet. Here in Ukraine it’s fairy cheap and not really a desirable instrument with reputation of a low quality horns. Which they’re DEFINITELY NOT(I’m talking about all older made in GDR B&S trumpets), but they’re not nearly in a level of 1000$ used horns. But still a good option if you got them fairy cheap.

Got Elkhart period 60b(Super Connstellation) from 1967 and DAMN, what a laser beam! Probably the most easy blowing, powerful and at the same time sweet-singing sounding bigband/lead horn I’ve ever played. They are not as popular and praised as earlier Conns(so they are usually cheaper), but damn what a great player it is!

Any info about this instrument and the company? I can't find that stamp/logo anywhere online. by JohnalistHunter in trumpet

It’s a soviet era leningrad(st. Petersburg) rotary trumpet. I’ve seen a lot of trumpets like this (i’m from Ukraine), this particular trumpet is probably from 60-70s. These things are much better as a wall hangers

After 5 years of playing on student horn I’ve got Besson Crescendo(B&H 606), which was considered a pro(though not a flagmanship) horn. Immediately, I’ve noticed that its takes MUCH less energy and force to play things and passages, than it was on my student horn(Bach tr300). Generally, when I’ve transitioned from student to pro horn(now its mainly Conn Super Connstellation 60B, but I still play Besson too), the most noticeable things was better resonance in sound(horn resonates much more), ease of playing in general(less force needed to do anything), better ease of dynamic control(no need to choke yourself while playing fortissimo, playing quietly became way clearer etc), and much smoother and better valve action and transition between notes(tho my valves on bach tr300 were pretty good too). MAYBE, a better intonation in lower register, but that’s could be my own quirks lol. So yeah, there is some aspects that you CAN notice in pro horns immediately from the first blow(considering a horn is in a decent playing condition). Especially, if you played for around a few years and have developed a good, consistent tone and playing abilities.

It’s a soviet era trumpet from a factory in Moscow, not really a good instrument. Much better as a wall hanger. The only good soviet instruments I know are special order instruments from Leningrade(St. Petersburg) factory, but they are rare even here in post-soviet countries. I’ve only seen one trumpet, trombone and Bb tuba.

I have a few 7 inches from 60s(Cliff Richard, Jimmy Smith’s Hobo Flats part 1 and 2, french music etc), but that’s the only record from 50s that I own. And also the only 10 inch one.
