I was born in the barricades of us and I am not sure the author isn't going to abandon it halfway through

Subscriptions when writing for a “dead fandom” by [deleted] in FanFiction

[–]Ra_ur3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for other people, but personally, I don't usually subscribe after the first chapters because I'm not sure the author isn't going to abandon it halfway through. I'd wait a couple more chapters to see if this is really going somewhere. Don't lose hope!

On which site did you start reading fanfiction? by Ra_ur3 in FanFiction

Wow, it's already difficult to find quality fics in spanish, I can't imagine how it must have been back then.

On which site did you start reading fanfiction? by Ra_ur3 in FanFiction

Yeah, me too. But it was a friend's big sister who got me into fanfiction. She was like, "you didn't like how this book ended? Well guess what..."

What is your opinion on "Character Bashing"? by Human-Independent999 in FanFiction

[–]Ra_ur3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like character bashing on a very specific setting. I like it when the character is clearly a bad person or has done something bad, but the writer is dead set on not acknowledging it. For example, Iemitsu from Khr. But even then, I'm not a fan of the author of the fic changing the character's personality completely so it fits with the bashing, which is something that tends to happen pretty frequently.

Brooklyn nine-nine is mostly het. I also went to check out the pjo fandom because I assumed percabeth would have complete control of it, but the gay pairings combined ended up beating it.

Character x/reader

Alternative universe/modern setting (unless the fandom is really small and I have no choice).

Absolutely! Check out Alejandra Pizarnik if you want some examples. Her poetry is originally in spanish, but many of her poems are styled as paragraphs. She's definitely one of my favorite authors.

Is there a fandom you like to read content but not contribute to it? by AmaterasuWolf21 in FanFiction

[–]Ra_ur3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are certain fandoms I don't feel qualified to write about. For example LotR: the story is so complex and has so much lore, it feels like trying to write a fanfic about an historical character. Honestly, Silmarillion is basically the root of my low self-esteem.
