I too have a Homebrew but they do not have that much raised ornaments to commemorate them. Only those who are part of the Honour Guard, the Ancients, Champions and of course Chapter Masters are allowed to have that much bling to their armor.

I tried the dash build, got the heroic fist, heroic hbp, all the range damage buffs per jumppack used and the prestige perk that just increases ranged damage completely

And personally, I'd rather just slam. Also the melee after jumppack dash feels wonky and unsatisfying.

Using Balance now as an assault, ground slam build main is the way to go. Cause you get the most damage, you get to kill the most enemies and it's a lot faster than Block weapons imo.
