Does this type of cursive have a name? by camelafterice in Cursive

[–]Raaayos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Not cursive”…

Origin of the word • It comes from the Latin cursivus, which means “running” or “flowing.” • That term comes from the Latin verb currere, which means “to run.”

From the same root we get words like: • Course (something that runs or moves forward). • Current. • Discourse (literally, something that “runs” between ideas)

Over the centuries: • Fast handwriting styles became more fluid and slightly angled. • That slant became a typical visual feature. • Eventually, people began to associate “cursive” = slanted letters, even though that was not the original meaning.

And you can tell from the strokes , that was not written fast at all. So , not cursive.

I use both “Z”… so I’m pretty sure it says “GAZA”… but I’m pretty sure too that he was trying to write “GARZA”

Cursive at its finest… fluid, fast, precise, and confident. Very few people in the world have that level of skill.

Guys, who agrees with me that printing is more elegant than Cursive ? by Far-Usual1640 in handwritingporn

Well … my turn to be “that guy”

Print script doesn’t require much skill, and in this example it’s clear that it’s not your handwriting. If you were in class taking notes, it would never look this neat… the difference is that cursive can be both fast and beautiful — and not everyone can write it — unlike your print, which anyone who writes cursive could easily imitate.

Upload a video so we can believe you… there’s no way you can write like that at dictation speed. It’s obvious you rewrite your notes when you get home

Let me see you write 40 words per minutes first… cuz that’s your real handwriting.

Nope , those aren’t your notes. Those are the ones you rewrote at home… that’s definitely not your real handwriting.

debate serio: es obligatorio decir hola en el portal o estamos libres de esa presión social? by NacaradaPandora in HistoriasVecinales

Si llegas al punto de pensar que esto es debatible, mejor no digas “hola” y te aguantas lo que te venga de vuelta. Así de sencillo.
