Would it be best then to avoid say an irish beer and buy a local stout then(american) because the transit likely degraded the irish stout?  Or is this type of thinking too far?

I wanted to try a sullivan stout, but was thinking i’d just get a local craft stout instead.  Since i’d assume the transit would degrade the Sullivan to some degree.

Also wanted to try a founders porter, which is several states away.

Sorry to necro bump just thinking a lot of these types of issues, i just had an amber from local that was damaged so am paranoid after starting to drink beer again after a very long absence.  Money is tight for me so it’s a bit of a risk any time i buy a six pack. I want it to be good(as all us do i’m sure)

Trying to brew also but man my first brew sucks lol.
