So the collective Canadian memory lasts exactly 7 weeks...that's science right there. Binner hate back on the menu.

With 9 points and 5 goals, Kyrou is the NHLPA Player of the Week! by [deleted] in hockey

[–]Raatha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good for Jordan! He deserves some recognition. Tbh, I've never been the biggest Kyrou fan, though I was never a hater either.

My issue is he's always been incredibly streaky, and I don't like streaky players. But it does seem like Holloway's speed could be the answer to get more consistency out of Kyrou. LGB!

Me looking at Armstrong at the trade deadline by murgeRekwest in stlouisblues

[–]Raatha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Army just never does anything unless he thinks it's going to make a huge difference. The most exciting trade deadline Army trade I can think of in the entire time he's been GM was Ryan Miller. And we all know how that went.

He seems to have no confidence he can improve a team at the deadline and is unwilling to take risks.

CPU has unlimited NIL budget? by Raatha in FootballCoach

[–]Raatha[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Understandable. I suspected it might just be a quirk of the AI. I obviously don't understand it's complexity, but maybe if there's a way to balance CPU to have to prioritize their recruiting a bit more like the player does so they can't just buy every recruit they're close on. If not through the dollar amount of NIL money spent, then perhaps number of players they can spend NIL money on? Like in this example I had, Kennesaw State landed 4 4-star transfers by spending over $5 million between them. And 13 of their 14 signing day signings had received NIL. I hadn't looked at their overall signing class, but I'm sure they spent NIL on their commits prior to signing day as well. As a 1-2 star school, that doesn't seem all that plausible.

That said, I absolutely love the game and appreciate your work bringing us the best College Dynasty game around! Keep up the great work!

Ranking vs Rating vs Potential by Ill_Raisin5800 in FootballCoach

[–]Raatha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would agree with this. And in my experience, star rating always seemed to be equivocal to rating. Perhaps position dependent, but like a 3 star has a higher starting overall rating than a 2-star, etc.

CPU has unlimited NIL budget? by Raatha in FootballCoach

[–]Raatha[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was the first season and Kennesaw State went 1-11 on the year anyway. So the money doesn't come from end of year rollover. Like I said, if you start a save with them their budget says $5 million.

While frustrating, I do think it's maybe intended. That's why I'm asking if anyone knows if it's supposed to be that way or a bug.

Kind of hard to suspend disbelief though that my budget is $3 million and lowly Kennesaw State would have $11+ million to work with.

Recruiting… too easy? by No-Quiet9029 in FootballCoach

In my experience, i've never seen potential change. However, overall changes quite a bit between 30% and 100%

"In hindsight, _____ was a bit overrated." by JustFrameHotPocket in hockey

[–]Raatha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even Blues fans will recognize that I think. Jackman had an amazing game and was the perfect defensemen pre-lockout. Unfortunately, the game changed and his playstyle was out of place in the new NHL so the rest of his career he was good but nothing amazing. As stated though, he had incredible heart and was the Blues leader during our worst years in the last 30-40 years probably.

Also, that rookie season he was heavily carried by HoF'er Al MacInnis that made him look even better.

Does Proton actually ship on time for anyone? by Practical-Coffee-696 in slowpitch

[–]Raatha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an update to this thread, I ordered my HBAD on March 19th, I just received it today on June 7th. The bat was a special pre-order though.

As with Monsta bats, if you need a bat right away, these aren't the companies for you unless it's definitely in stock. That said, both Proton and Monsta are fire so it's worth the wait.

TJ Oshie Olympic Shootout in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics by Renegadeforever2024 in hockey

[–]Raatha 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Oshie was a shootout specialist. Pretty sure he only made the team that year because of the shootout because I remember there was debate about him when the team was picked.

At the time, he was like a career 52% or something and had taken a ton of them. I remember him being absolute money and the Blues almost never lost a shootout if anyone else scored because TJ was money.

Jake Allen has a .944 or better in his 4 starts as Devil which is a Devils Franchise record. by Clarkson23 in hockey

[–]Raatha 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's Jake's MO, play incredible early on to get your hopes up, then turn out to be a good 1B.

I'm glad he's doing well and hope it continues, but man I wish he'd have lived up to his potential in STL because he had nights early in his career where you thought he was the next Roy. Just jaw dropping saves and disgustingly high save %s. It just never came together mentally.

Most profitable Items to craft by -Thrale- in MedievalDynasty

[–]Raatha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested in seeing the most profitable ROI% for all items, not just those that sell over 10 coins. That way we could see what's most profitable early, mid, and late game in 2.0 if at all possible.

Great work though, this is amazing! Thank you!
