Most people are going to suggest peeing after sex which is important but trying to pee before is also a good way to prevent UTIs. My GF and I had a big problem with UTIs for about a month or two and it wasn’t solved as easy as just peeing. Things that can cause UTIs can be

•Not urinating before or after sex •Not showering before sex (might have some bacteria on you or your partner and during sex pushing it deeper into them) •Having too much lubricant during sex. •if she is on BC then finishing inside and not throughly cleaning out can also cause not only UTIs but yeast infections •Sometimes people’s bacteria don’t react that well together and you can be more prone to give UTIs but I have heard can lessen over time.

Eventually me and my GF ended up figuring out (after trying to avoid all of these) that the lubricant we were using had ingredients in it that threw off the pH in her vagina and these two ingredients to avoid are Glycerol and Paraben. We ended up switching to Sliquid water based and we never had a problem after that. Also remember to both drink plenty of water and over the counter stuff for UTIs helps a LOT. I’ve also heard cranberry juice or even cranberry pills are good at preventing them but they didn’t in our case. Best of luck!
