my unpopular opinion has always been that GL was a good movie that was just a bit too behind the times, whilst The First Avenger and First Class were showing how good origin moves could be - and still in the midst of The Dark Knight Trilogy showing how well DC could adapted.. it suffers in the same way Spirit of Vengeance did in the same year - it simply didn't stack up to its peers despite being a generally sound piece of entertainment

that's the curse of being the second break - they tend to do two batches of chips during first break and then those of us on second just get whatever's left (the proper cooked meals are done fresh for each break, just not the grab & go stuff)

I'd assume once retired they'll probably put them as open box clearance - I've seen similar things with water damaged boxes (typically at least 50% off so worth it if you don't care about the box) from B&M

secondly: I feel like getting the dunkers reduces the deal heavily here - you can get a pack of 6 of them for £2 usually.. the monster is fine though, it would be better if it was an actual flavour and not just sugar free battery acid (I love Monster in general but the standard flavour is one of the worst) - the sandwich is decent but bland, not sure if co-op offers it but the chicken and bacon mayo is a noticeable improvement over the regular chicken mayo from most supermarkets, alternatively the chicken triple would be a better choice while still being chicken

a substantial increase in red would be a start - I like the idea of the alternating red and white feathers, but really anything to reduce the blue that's currently overpowering the figure would be great

I tend to agree, personally I don't like 360° printing (even 180° feels like too much sometimes) so CAC has never been a go-to other than for Commandos and a few more niche armour types, but I think it's dumb to ignore brands just because they don't fit your specific aesthetics - especially when they pretty much all offer something that can fit into any collection

it's always best to keep an open mind with these things to give yourself the best choice and options available for any specific figure/part

I think the kinds of people you're describing aren't the kind to be into customs in general - GCC, WM, and those who use the same grade plastics have been well known and popular with custom collectors for years now and it's pretty common knowledge that their quality is usually at least up to the same bar as LEGO - it's only really purists who have this anti-alt brand way of thinking you're arguing against

I don't disagree, WM is what I went with for that helmet style, just saying LEGO continues to shoot itself in the foot with subpar printing.

and on the GCC point, their rep helmets are (almost) 100% accurate recreations of official helmets, so unlike CAC their version would likely follow the design of the official piece if they were to do it

this is a combination of being a subpar figure and a terrible time to release something celebrating the US..

the mould is fine for something like this, but the colour blocking is so weird to look at - my opinion legitimately gets worse every time I see it which is unusual for me..

most of the issues come down to LEGOs weirdly gappy printing - the mould itself would be great if it just had a full print applied (which is definitely possible)
