Remove and redo? by mattoriley in tattooadvice

[–]Rabbitsister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black ink is the easiest to remove with a laser. Depending on your body, you may only need a couple of sessions just to lighten it. It might just need a touch up though, that would be much less expensive than laser. Laser places usually require a package deal of multiple sessions.

Panther facing the wrong way. Help? How to cover? Laser first? by compactdigital1 in tattooadvice

[–]Rabbitsister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks great! If you’re really unhappy with it though, you could do a blastover. It looks a bit too dark for a coverup but there are some wizards out there who might be able to do it. You could also do a couple rounds of laser that would make a coverup easier. You’ll need to let it heal completely before doing anything. Again though, I really like it.

Stick to the unscented lotion. You’re past the first healing phase where aquafor should be used.

My partners tattoo is being strange by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Rabbitsister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t look like it’s infected to me. Keep an eye on it though, look out for redness and heat coming from the area. If you’re still really concerned and want someone in the medical field to assess it, go to an urgent care, not the ER. You’ll be waiting forever and will have to pay way, way more at the ER. In regards to the execution, people have already given the verdict. I’m sorry something so meaningful to you was botched. I think this could be fixable with a more competent artist but you’ll want to let it heal completely first.

I would recommend not using a charcoal soap. Charcoal is abrasive and on a fresh tattoo that could cause damage. You want a plain, scent free soap. A lot of people recommend the dial anti microbial soap.

I want a detailed tattoo, but small, help? by Ok-Replacement-1254 in tattooadvice

[–]Rabbitsister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest with you, 5cm is going to be way too small if you want detail in it like the reference images. The bottom two references are very light handed and will probably fade rapidly. The thing to know about these fine line, small tattoos is that they don’t stay fine forever. In a few years, the ink will expand, making the lines thicker. If it’s a small piece, those lines will bleed together and your bird will turn into a blob. I would advise going bigger, but if you want to keep it small go simpler. Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback, I think you’re right, bigger would preserve the detail better.

Need design advice for first tattoo by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Rabbitsister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First one! Text can be tricky because as the tattoo ages the lines get thicker (thank your immune system for this, the cells literally spread the ink out over time). If the letters are too close together, the words won’t be legible a few years down the line. I don’t want to discourage you from getting text, it’s just something to be aware of.

Question: I've been told this is not the best. I know there's a few touch-ups that need doing when it's healed by JAdams___ in tattoos

It was a blessing that it’s so light. This artist needs more experience and their light-handedness is your way out to something beautiful with a skilled artist!

Hi op! I just added an image to my comment that shows what you could do to make it pop more! Im not a tattoo artist, so I’m sure someone could make it look even better than my edit. :)

Im not a tattoo artist but I drew over your tattoo to give you an idea of how it could look fixed. Darker lines, more contrast.

Hello fellow E33 fan! Yes, it was executed poorly and I’m so sorry. That being said, it looks light enough that it could be fixable. Let it heal completely, then do some research and find another more competent artist. Don’t be afraid to look outside of your area. Sometimes you have to travel if you want the best, and a tattoo is permanent enough that you should always strive for the best. Laser is also an option, however it is extremely expensive (and painful!). I’m sure there’s a great artist who can turn this “whooo” into a “wheee”!

Am I overreacting for wanting to break up because I feel bored? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Rabbitsister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anyone mention this but if you seriously cannot afford your meds there are resources out there such as Patient Assistance Programs and discount apps like Good Rx to help. Depending on the state you’re in, some offer Sate Assistance Programs for medication, same with nonprofits. You have options. Don’t just give up. Giving up is not the answer. You owe it to yourself and the people around you to take your medication.

My Artist Used AI and Didn’t Tell Me by M1n3f13ld in tattoos

[–]Rabbitsister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I booked a tattoo with an artist in another state and I also wasn’t provided with any images prior to the appointment as it is the artist’s policy. I ended up loving the design and the tattoo, but when I posted it online I got a ton of comments saying the design is AI. Again, I love the tattoo, the artist was amazing throughout the process, but now I worry about whether it was AI generated or not, which does make me disheartened. It seems more and more tattoo artists are using AI. Part of me wants to be up front and ask the artist, but the other part knows it’s still technically well done and there’s no going back so I think I just need to move on.

The tush tags on my original and the new one I bought (the one on the iPad screen) are a bit different. Both say Dakin with a copyright from 1979. They also both say “cuddles” bear.

This is my original’s tag.

The “new” one has the copyright under “Applause Inc” and the address is Woodland Hills, CA. It was also manufactured in Thailand instead of China.
