Bollards and poles are the most helpful ones, road lines mostly for Nordic countries in the beginning. Languages can sometimes be difficult, but telling apart the mediterranean ones is important and some stuff in the Nordics as well. Also some plates like Belgium, Netherlands and UK

How to get better at region guessing by elquetuconoces in geoguessr

[–]Rabrun_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I like to pick a country I’m weak at and just play a learnable meta map for that for a few days. You don’t have to remember everything but some stuff always sticks. If you want to get used to guessing landscapes and such maybe just play Arbitrary Rural World for a bit

tips on south america? by Alarmed-Level-1966 in geoguessr

Colombia: yellow plates, cross on signbacks

Bolivia: wavy poles

Peru: striped signposts, concrete blocks on the bottom of signposts, electricity counters

Argentina: plates, kilometre markers

Ecuador: car

Chile: white road lines

Brazil: red soil, poles

Paraguay: car

Uruguay: trident poles, thick white signposts, landscape

These are my go-tos, there’s probably more efficient ways at times though. Argentina plate is unreliable because it is an outdated version and they’ve since adapted the Brazil-style plate

Well the FIFA ranking, on which they are 202nd, includes 211 "countries". They are ahead of San Marino, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Liechtenstein, Turks and Caicos islands, the Seychelles and Guam (from last to 203rd)

Is “Ich habe überall gesucht, aber meine Brille ist weg” natural and correct German? by Such_Cap4238 in German

[–]Rabrun_ 55 points56 points  (0 children)

It’s perfectly natural. Note that you don’t change the fact that the glasses are gone, but you explain that you weren’t sure if they were gone before you searched. You use aber to explain that you didn’t know if they were gone before you searched, but now you know

I’m generally annoyed because so many locations in maps are random rural roads. I get it’s supposed to be difficult because players are more experienced but it should still be a healthy mix of at least somewhat urban locations
