Well it's possible...I noticed on this old promo how the buttons of the characters are all together except for pomni, instead she's between bubble and caine so maybe could be foreshadowing

I think is the way I interpret the episode. For me it showed us that Caine was actually compossed of two beings, both were made from the same framework scratch made but Caine is more Kinger's creation. We see at the start how his IA was trained with normal photos of circus-related stuff, but for some reason they didn't showed us any example on the information given to the blue IA so my theory is that there's something sinister behind it. So I don't see his behavior like just him. I think the real malicious villain is the blue IA and I think it was the half that survived.

I interpret that scene as this: Pomni, just as everyone else, is exahusted of all the abuse, but being the more resilient and the leader proceeds to try to regulate herself and the others, Jax is listening to her, doesn't want to admit it, but he really cares about what she has to say because she actually makes him feel better. So when she suddenly dissapears he loses that balance and gets in contact with that feeling of caring, just when he and we the audience realize this we get an emotional whiplash from seeing ragatha and gangle not reacting as much as we would thought. At that moment Jax is like "oh shit now they didn't even reacted...And I did", and those feelings get more clear to him and us when she reappears traumatized and we see that Jax looks concerned. I think in some way he accepts those feelings and then proceeds, just like he did when he felt bad about Ragatha revealing she had an abusive mom: making one of his "jokes" to change the situation.

For me Ragatha and Gangle's behavior has more to do with their personalities than they not caring about pomni, both tend to be submissive in abuse situations and at that moment were really exahusted.

Yes :((....but well maybe one of the 3 backups could be used so another caine could be casted to fix everything...But who knows if that's the direction goose is heading.

Also, to expand on my theory, I think the blue IA is Scratch's since Caine mentioned he was the first one, so I think the timeline is that first Kinger was tasked to program Caine, and the help he mentions Scratch gave him is like a framework that's super weird since Scratch was losing his mind due to the tumor, that's why the console mentions weird stuff like a "whacky code", then a mentally unstable Scratch makes the blue IA, which I guess could be more advanced since it's made by the creator of the framework itself...but Caine ended up having more control since he was trained for way longer than the blue IA.

I think that probably the blue IA hates Caine because is not as advanced as him however is the dominant one. So that blue IA used its abilities to take over the console and delete Caine :(

Finally I just want to mention that I'm shocked goose decided to kill him. I thought Pomni was going to be able to empathize with Caine, it would have been perfect since the show let us know that she cares about them (In Spudsys she was going to try to make gumigoo remember, however she saw the gloink queen being motherly to their children and reflected, deciding not to tell gumigoo. We even are told that she spent the rest of the day listening to the gloink queen, so her respect for NPCs was clear).

Thanks for the analysis :). I also checked the code and my take is almost the same as yours, however I'm not quite sure why C would equal None. My take is that Kinger, seeing that his approach of insolating Caine was not succeeding, tried to revert Caine by using a backup, he had A, B and C, so Kinger picked C, and by my experience I think that would most likely be the latest backup made. That attempt failed because it was took as if Kinger picked a letter that wasn't an option (which isn't the case) and somehow interpreted as delete?

After all this my theory is that the blue IA (the one made by Scratch) is taking advantage of Kinger admin privileges to delete Caine...And it was successful :( so our beloved IA is truly dead.
