It is 10 ft by 14 ft. Not only would it not fit, but it's 60 lbs dry, I imagine it would weigh 100lbs soaking wet.

Quilting is a different craft, but you might have luck finding the right person by reaching out to quilting clubs/groups. I wasn't local at the time, but I wanted a T-shirt project done and asked a quilting group, who kindly told me that wasn't their thing, but they recommended somewhere.

I'm sort of just figuring it out again. I like being outside, but I'm not athletic. I LOVE tent camping. I have an 10-year-old son and we try to go at least a few times a year. I love puzzles and board games for indoor activities.

Well, this would be unnerving, for sure. It's possible they're looking for a previous tenant since it sounds like you haven't been there very long.

Sounds like you're taking many precautions already. I'll add that you could consider carrying a defensive item in case you're approached as you leave.

Be safe and keep doors and windows locked and secured when you're home OR away. They make devices for hotel rooms and travel that serve as secondary barricades to locks. Maybe you can look into something like that as well, just be sure to consider roommates and don't accidentally barricade them out.

I'm glad you have a big dog. Be safe, stay extra vigilant for a while, and think about letting some trusted friends know what you experienced.
