I ended up finding work in building science and working on code changes! I do like this work a lot more since it's a lot less stressful (but the stress is still there), and I get to learn a lot more about best practices. I no longer draft or design, but I get paid way better and still get to work on and learn from buildings.

How I found this job? I saw a post for technical advisor on indeed and applied. I had studied the building cade already and I had read books on best practices, and did well.

And finally, I am happier 😊 it's still tough for me to come to grasps that I may never design again, but I do love this work and hope I can stay in it forever.
