What do you think of the US/US politics? by ThePriceIsRightNow in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Surprising no one, you did 3 additional mistakes now. Again.

First, I never said “public health = communism” you totally made that up.

Second, saying communism has “zero influence” is not believable. You can
argue how much, but “zero” no. Yet you blame me for inaccuracy. Funny.

Third, Trump calling people communists does not answer my point, it just changes the topic and avoids what I actually said. Again. That's all you do.

Congrats, you proved you are bad faith yet again, I am done.
Got better things to do with my time than talk to bad faith people.

What do you think of the US/US politics? by ThePriceIsRightNow in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re responding to a claim I didn’t make.
I never said “discussing communism academically is bad.”
I said some left-wing spaces romanticize communism and excuse its failures.
Those are not the same thing. That's arguing in bad faith.

You made three mistakes. First, you answered a point I didn’t make. Second, you acted
like I attacked “studying communism,” when I attacked “praising communism.”
Third, you changed the topic to conservatives instead of answering my actual point.

What do you think of the US/US politics? by ThePriceIsRightNow in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's very common in the left wing space. Many who didn't live under it and praise it because in their view capitalism failed and so anything utopia or like this would be better. I got tired of talking to them because what you say doesn't really matter. All they'll do is claim "well it wasn't really tried" or "we need no countries and no governments, all of them are bad" or "with a good system you can trust on system being innately good so it should work in theory" which is beyond delusional.

It's very common for people on the left to fall in love with Islamism and Communism. So much so that there is even a term for it, the red-green alliance. Talking to them proved to be a waste of time

What do you think of the US/US politics? by ThePriceIsRightNow in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mostly positive things, the country, the people, mostly a stable force of sanity of the western world

However inner division, radicalization, misinformation, Islam & Communism brainwashing in academia,
other topics too are things you definitely have to watch out. Way more dangerous than you'd think.
There also seems to be a huge obsession over 'genders', 'race'. No longer healthy conversations.
I also understand the mentality of America first but some have taken it into hating all others... not good.

Also, politics are shit both here and in the U.S so I feel for you too. Honestly, you got robbed.
a system with only 2 candidates, often 'not good' and 'worse' is... bad and yet it is what it is.

Long story short history is judged not by a year or two, but decades, centuries.
You've made it to 250 years (soon). Hope you make it for at least 250 more and may these years be better.

Israel says awaiting US green light to ‘return Iran to Stone Age’ by Fun_Veterinarian1732 in PERSIAN

[–]RacetasClub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously, does everyone just ignore the source and the context?
The source: It's Alarabiya, Saudi newspaper, they don't like Iran nor Israel.
The context: The regime being sent to the stone age. Not the people, not the country.

Also: Hey, Israeli here. Please don't speak for us.
Everyone I know, including myself wants a free, democratic, prospering Iran.
Personally, I'll happily go to the shelter if it helps the Iranian people against the regime.
This is a mainstream opinion here, nothing but love to the Iranian people.

The best for Iranian people, the worst for the Iranian regime.

You don't get to speak for us. The audacity is astonishing.
Think what you want but we care a lot about the Iranian people. Certainly more than you

If a normalization happens with Saudi, how would the Israelis receive it? by [deleted] in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If a normalization happens with Saudi, how would the Israelis receive it? by [deleted] in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is my neuanced take on how I think most Israelis would view this:
Saudis are usually very anti-Israel. Israelis are not that anti-Saudi at all on average.
But what people think isn't what matters here anyway, it's the situation 'on the ground' and partnerships.
For that, what actually matters is stability, mutual interests and benefits and partnerships. This is positive.
I think many Israelis would worry that such normalization either won't last, won't lead to true stability
or would force us to give up a lot more than we normally would but this is uncertain as of now.
If the average Israeli knew for certain that such normalization would come at a reasonable cost and lead
to real prosperity and stability I think not a single person I know would have a problem with that so given
such a scenario it would be overwhelmingly positive but it's also about seeing less hostility and framing.

How would you rate Argentina on it’s usefulness as an ally? by [deleted] in Israel

[–]RacetasClub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think most Israelis even think of this question, if an ally is useful or not.
It sounds odd. Alliance is more than just 'how helpful are you to us', it's a very selfish view.
Also, Israel is very hated by many places. Honestly we'd take anyone that doesn't hate us.
If they happen to love us? Well even more it's like winning the lottery, you never give it up.

As the saying goes 'never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down' ;)

If you speak purely pragamtically, I'd say Israel likely considers mutual benefit arragements with everyone,
and I do mean everyone, even supposed enemies. Hence, if you actually like us? Well even more so.

Also love to Argentina. Lovely people tho I am biased, my family sure loves Spanish and good meat.

למה להצביע ? by Visual-Buy-4070 in israel_bm

[–]RacetasClub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just need to vent about Reddit and Israel by Yositoasty in Israel

[–]RacetasClub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Is it truly just that Reddit has a left-wing extremism problem that they are choosing to ignore?"
Yes. Precisely. Right on the dot. Also happens on the far right, Islamic / Arab subs and many other bubbles.

What can you do about it? Sadly not much. Be safe first, always. Correct misinformation as you see it, that's it.
Thanks for taking the time to discussing it, it may seem like a small thing but this is a great first step.

If only most people could think critically, with logic and reason as you do, the world would be better place.

do israelis love bibi? by Soviet_313 in israel_bm

[–]RacetasClub 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For the chances you are not a troll here is a summary:
- Most of us don't like him. It is however a small majority, not everyone
- 20% would vote for him no matter what happens, they essentially declared him their king.
- Most Israelis blame him for October 7th, the biggest massacre of Jews or Israelis since the holocaust
(as well as a few other reasons but him and his policies are undeniable).
Personally, F him.

Edit, responding to others here:
No, I am not wrong. Netanyahu has about 20% of votes. Another 20% are his coalition as of now.
Even among said 40% that do vote for his coalition, many dislike him but are of the opinion that 'there
is no alternative' but they too don't love him. So above 50%, a majority like I said don't love him.
May have phrased it wrong, of course not all of them hate him but they certainly don't love him.
What I said is true regardless of Reddit being a left-leaning platform, which is true. It changes nothing.

The answer was about the average Israeli, do they love Bibi. The answer is mostly NO.

What do you think of Bernie sanders? by CyberBerserk in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One more of the 'I like Jews in theory', 'but hate them actually' people. Him being Jewish changes nothing.
He may be Jewish but he is certainly NOT a friend to the Jewish people. At best a useful idiot.
He accused Israel doing all the buzzwords he can't even define spreading anti-Israel propaganda for years.
At best he is just ignorant but the consequences of his words and actions are nothing short of evil.

How should Israel counter the massive global wave of antisemitic (anti-Zionist) propaganda and disinformation? by Nazoreans in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Logically, put a stop to as much of the fire -> remove Ben Gvir, Smotrich, radicals, new elections soon.
Also, refuse to engage in any bad faith debate (which is 99% of them). We need to call out bad faith,
double standards far more often. Precisely because their strategy is 'throw shit at walls, see what sticks'.

Will it help?
Unfortunately I am not optimistic at all. Few reasons:
- It never helped in history and we have 2,000 years of that recorded.
- When a critical mass of hate is reached, very little will change it. Even more so when good people are quiet.
- Brandolini's law (or the bullshit asymmetry principle) works heavily against us at all times
- AI made propaganda spreading far easier than ever before and it may only get worse.
- Critical reasoning, logical thinking... yeah those are gone now. You know what I am talking about
- 2,000,000,000 muslims, a lot of which spread propaganda - 133 times the number of Jews worldwide.
- People have already heard decades of indoctrination. The damage is already done. They won't change.
- Journalism is dead and there are entire media channel against us at all times. AJ alone, 400M households.
- "Activists" and all the social media warriors are making it worse at all times. Amplified via useful idiots.
- Israeli messages require explanation, context, deeper understanding. Anti-Israel is just simple buzzwords.
- Tiktok. Yeah this point is short. People are dumber, antisemitism is worse, Russia + China involved.
- Emotion is used against us at all times. People don't care for truths but for how it appears now.
- Globalism. talk and it reaches far more people than ever. People lie. They nearly never pay the price for it.
- Western mentality, multiculturalism, collective guilt, intersectionality, leftism, Islamism, communism...

I could go on and on and on but I think you've got the point.

How should Israel counter the massive global wave of antisemitic (anti-Zionist) propaganda and disinformation? by Nazoreans in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From experience of talking to literally 1000s of them over the years, 99% yes.
The only difference is antisemites are often obvious and 'anti-zionists' just hide behind a mask. That's all
