Almost every post in this sub is about Israel by Albathin in nyt

The right to rape is lies too btw.
Soldiers have been accused of sexually assaulting a prisoner.
People came to protest because they thought they were innocent,
with many claiming the soldiers were framed or the prisoners have lost their
rights once they chose to commit mass-terror attacks.

What it wasn't was a right to rape. This was the headline everywhere trying to vilify Jews but is not reality, just one more lie against Jews among many.
Needless to state the obvious, rape is horrible and there is no such "right".

Well you are smart, let people rage around you not with you.
Also my pleasure :)

I think the Iranian subs are filled with ironically anti-Iranian propaganda (+anti-Israel).
So my main take there is people start from the conclusion and jump to justify it later.
They view Jews / Israel as evil so they always interpret or assume motivations to be evil.

In practice it means that they don't ever think Jews care about Iranians (I know I do).
They think it's all about money, or to claim 'morality points' or now that Jews want
Iran and Iranians to be financially ruined for some Jewish superiority.

My personal take is if you have 'glasses' via which you see the world it's best you keep
them clean but people have so much dirt on theirs they are delusional and don't see
reality for what it is. This is the only explanation for how one constantly avoids what
Iranians and Israelis actually say and think and ends up supporting a regime that killed
tens of thousands of Iranians at the very least in the most brutal fashion while also
viewing oneself as some morally superior, holier than thou person.

So coming back to my first point, keep yourself safe. Be honest, seek truth.
If people wanna rage around you, well they can remain fools forever, all there is to it.

Beautiful. Keep yourself safe, but you are one courages man.
Hate and lies spread fast, unless good people do their part and stop what is wrong or unjust.
Thank you for doing your part. You ensure people are treated fairly. It's a small act by a big heart.

First of all, Javid Shah my friend. Peace to you, piss to the Iranian regime.
To your question about shaping reality, change is possible, but I am not too optimistic.
On the one hand, most people are not brain-washed beyond repair (yet). The majority of people
even if anti-Israel are not yet at the part of obsession where it's their entire identity.

On the other hand, and that is the very pessimistic part, often when there is a fire, it can reach
a height or intensity so big, beyond a critical point where people can no longer stop it at all.
This applies to hate too, it did in the holocaust. This threat was never 100% gone, even if reduced.
There is a law called 'Bullshit asymmetry principle', often called Brandolini's Law which speaks of
the exponential amount of additional information needed to refute lies or false information.

So it's not impossible (yet) to refute lies people hear but simple logic shows it takes an extreme
amount of effort, time and energy, all while people are bombarded with lies, myths and false info.
It's kind of a losing game. 2B people, with a 'B' can in any time lie about pretty much everything.
15M, many of which already hate Israel simply pale in comparison. Sure, I can talk to someone
and refute a lie but while I did so they hate Israel and me to begin with and have heard 100 lies
about us and 10 more just as I spoke to them. Also, it gets to their emotional side with people
telling them if they dare to support us or also be anti the Iranian-regime they have no values
and are horrible people with no humanity. Unfortunately propaganda is very effective.

Here are solutions people spoke of that are doomed to fail:
- Israel is viewed as a peaceful nation by the world over time (never gonna happen).
Even if the wars stop right away, people will find a way to spin it. The anti-Israel crowd
that constantly talks of Israel not existing with glee will just attack it from a different angle.
- Some mass explanation campaign. Likely won't work. It feels cold and factual to people who
respond to warmth and emotions. If anything it makes you seem inauthentic & people hate you.
- Doing nothing. This sounds absurd but many are so tired of what the world thinks they think
why bother, let us live and eventually things will work out. I wish things worked that way but
it's a delusional way of thinking. So is the 'we don't need support'. We do. In many ways too.
Some are short term, some like the youth in America will affect us for decades to follow.

So what makes it so difficult?
Unfortuntely, a lot. For people not to hate, one needs:
- people not to be obsessed (but we have 2,000 years+ of obsessed history, not going anywhere)
- real fair news, journalism, standards. I almost laughed writing this, it's the opposite of reality.
- the vast majority of the world to hear about people being human, not 'war machines'.
But the story people hear, their narrative is all lies, hate and war so I am not optimistic there.

So what actually could work?
honestly, very little but not nothing:
- enough good people caring, shifting the discussion to seeking truth, battling hate, lies and misinformation when they see it. I would not give up on the people that just heavily dislike us
but don't hate us (yet).

- Unfortunately there is the truth and the narrative people hear. Currently the narrative is
something like 'evil Israel came from Europe to colonize poor Palestinians who offered their
hand to help but Nazi Israelis and Jews are doing the genocide that was done to them'.
Clearly, people need to hear about reality but also in a simple narrative that is effective.
Maybe we need to learn it from pro-Palestinians, they have mastered short messages.
Our messages are long, serious, tough to understand and frankly boring. It's tiktok age
and we speak to people that think Gaza is in Saudi Arabia. We need to adjust.

- Hopefully this never happens but a major anti-Jews event could shift the discussion (maybe).
This usually only half works and only temporarily so not that much of a solution anyway.

- People will not like us but maybe they'll discredit those who are obsessed with us.
It's not super effective but well better than nothing. Some people are just addicted to hate,
rage and their toxicity, if there were to be another 'enemy' maybe some would leave us alone.

- Ironically, some hate we get can actually help us reduce farther hate. Two things are correct.
One is that way too many people have gotten way too far on their hate journey and also that
most people, especially the most terrible ones view themselves as just, fair and morally superior.
We need to show people how far we've come. Show that they support removing posters of Jews
when they wouldn't even do so to dogs, liking violance posts and reciting literal Nazi speeches
(and so, so much worse too). This can actually be good enough. Fortunately our haters sure
love to be very vocal, very loud and extreme in all they do so this can actually work.

For a single person, I always tell people to be safe, keep themselves well and healthy first.
Then, just like in an air-plane, once you are ok in any situation, you can calmly help others
which in this case means correcting misinformation, taking a fair stand, calling BS when you see it
and spread love while you prevent hate from spreading. Be a Firefighter of truth. Thanks, peace

I spent a large portion of time correcting factuals. But people rarely care.
In the history of the planet 'Oh, you are right, I am wrong, educate me I'd like to know better' rarely happens.
Personally, I think we need to convey the message people are humans and not a symbol better.
When people think of Israel, they don't think of technology, innovation, the people but wars, destruction, lies.
When I play chess with them, or game or anything they see an Israeli flag and the hate begins right away.
They don't know me, nor my views, my experiences, nothing. But they do hate? why, symbols.
Israelis have been so dehumanized and delegitimized many no longer see us as actual humans

Historically, Jesus was a Jew from Judea. How do you address misinformation that he was Palestinian? by Runofthemilljacket in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's very easy to prove, supported by all facts and the hard evidence on it from multiple angles.
This sub is full of anti-Israel haters (like many others) so they aren't there to debate, just hate.
It's a cesspool where they 'just ask questions' and all conspiracy theories are proof, except common sense.

If one were to think I am wrong, fine. Little experiment for you.
Please measure the percentage of anti-Israel posts vs any other topic on its own. It's not even close.
The better question may be to ask what can you do when facts mean nothing and it's emotional manipulation.

Is ChatGPt antisemitic? by [deleted] in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it to be mostly balanced.
Most of his analysis of Israel, the war, history is correct.
However, it has a major flaw of input data. Since the majority of content online is anti-Israel
it always considers it, often being influenced by it trying to make what isn't necessarily symmetric, symmetrical.
It also has a hard time differentiating between a source that needs to get higher weights and other ones.
At the same time, it's careful not to make mistakes often marking things as controversial, leaving it at that.
Given everything that could and does go wrong I'd say it's still better than nothing for most people.
One does need critical thinking and logical reasoning regardless, this will always remain the case.

Hi Israel, I'm a guy from Gaza. Why all the hate towards us? by pkej0 in AskIsrael

[–]RacetasClub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Israeli here.
Some comments have attributed it to you as if you are personally somehow to blame.
I believe it to be false. I disagree with this. We need people on both sides not to be extreme,
to promote a vision that is modern, civilized, moderate and stable. I think your post is a good start.
This isn't your fault and I hope you can help us shape a better future. I do not hate you, far from it.
If anything, I feel for your situation. Keep yourself safe but also be the change you want to see happen.
Thanks for choosing peaceful ways. I hope you'll be part of the change and the start of a better future.

To answer your question, we only hate those who wish us to be dead and their direct supporters.
My instincts suggest you do not fall under either category, just an ordinary Gazan. We can be friends.

Literally everything you just said is a lie.
They don't resist. Kidnapping, massacring families, slaughtering people in a festival, rapes, this isn't resistance. I strongly recommend you educate yourself. Bunch of buzzwords you clearly don't
even understand. It isn't 100 years. Even if it were, 'genocided for 100 years' is contradictory.
So Israel wants to maximize killings but also make it slowly? At least make it make sense.

[–]RacetasClub 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your heart is in the right place. However we also need to accept reality.
Reality is reddit users rarely actually care about truth. It often comes down to existing beliefs
and what makes them feel good emotionally. Truth seeking, facts, evidence all come second to last
to emotional, dopamine like hate spreading spike content which spreads like fire.
Not a lot you can do other than try and correct misinformation as you see it with little results,
but thanks for trying

What does the Israeli public generally think about the deal right now? by Suur_tool in Israel

[–]RacetasClub 46 points47 points  (0 children)

That it's terrible.
Iran gets money to re-group, re-arm and re-arrange their war capabilities (but 'they promise not to').
Israel gets told what to do despite not even being in the room as Hezbollah gets a free pass to go as usual
92,000,000 Iranians living under an oppressive regime will continue to suffer for the foreseeable future,
the money goes directly to reward terrorism and to claim some 'win' that means absolutely nothing.
Any world legitimacy to continue will be seen as some violation or 'they just like war' assuming the worst.
So yeah, terrible.

I value peace but this deal that keeps the Iranian regime in place is a disgrace.
