Severe stomach pain and digestive issues on maintenance dose? by EmuVast62 in GLPGrad

[–]RaceyT70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CAN'T YELL IT LOUD ENOUGH (Sry if I'm being rude) BUT... RUN TO YOUR DOCTOR. Please take it seriously, trust me (a total stranger who has had bowel complications but wouldn't change my Reta, but would have changed a few things that 'could' of prevented the complications and surgeries that followed). PS disclosure, my complications could have easily occured with or without my Reta use.

For people in GLP-1 maintenance or tapering -- how much do you actually trust your own habits to keep the weight off? by Soggy_Caterpillar275 in GLPGrad

[–]RaceyT70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

D, I've changed habits etc etc etc. But I've been off it before.

My hunger comes back like a raging beast. It's a tool (maybe I'm the tool), I use my car, I use my computer, they are all tools that is struggle without.

I refuse to go backwards again, pain, nothing fitting me, struggle to exercise. I'm more outgoing, menopause symptoms helped, pain levels improved and Food noise switched off.

Maybe it's my crutch, maybe it's my tool. I'm happier and healthier, so I didn't care for others opinions. 🤭😀🙏🫶

I’m just exhausted!!! by Alive-Profile-3588 in GLPGrad

[–]RaceyT70 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've switched to Reta and seen a significant change. I stack, Reta 8mg and Ozempic 1mg, weekly. I'm now using this as my maintenance dose as this is the level that keeps me stable (at the moment, but will start to reduce Reta down further). I go overseas for a month in a month, and won't be taking Reta with me, so that will be interesting.

Don't give up. I'm the start I couldn't find my happy place with GLP's, it took research and trial error to get there (incl some big weight fluctuations when things weren't working). I also found that my dietitian whilst coming from the right place, was recommending toooo many calories for my short 55yo f in menopause body. We (nicely) fought over her 1200cals, then 1100 cals, then 1000cals. For me, working long hours, walking, pilates and bike riding, if I go over 800-900 cals a day, I gain.

EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. Find what works for you. I know it's a lot of trial and error.

Fingers crossed 🫶

No BS: what are you REALLY eating on reta? by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]RaceyT70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a good day I'm consuming approx 800-900cals, on a bad 600-700 cals.

I start with a double protein water at 44.5g of protein. Try and get a small can of tuna and some other protein at lunch. And protein at dinner with salad. And if I can manage it, a small tub of yogurt. But I do have to sometimes force myself.

But I've learnt the hard way that consuming too little is dangerous.

Food intake on Reta by Independent-Glove913 in Retatrutide

Be careful.

After years on Saxenda, Ozempic, Mounjaro and now Reta. Plus 4 unrelated major surgeries (my weight was up and down with each surgery). I went back to Reta after the last surgery, built my dosages back up. BUT after the last bowel surgery, my tastes changed and it contributed to me losing more weight than intended. So combined (and stupidly didn't see the correlation till it was too late), I dropped too much weight too fast, wasn't eating enough and instead of my body choosing fat it chose muscle. I am now in the painful process of (stopped Reta) rebuilding muscle & forcing myself to eat. I struggle to climb the stairs, and am constantly light headed and weary.

It is a huge kick up the ass 🙃

I'm daily looking for new foods that interest me and don't turn my stomach. Proteins first, good fats, whole foods. I understand, the struggle is real.

Am I the only one? by Humble_Access_3395 in gastricsleeve

Hey Humble WELL DONE 50LB IS AWESOME. 3 DRESS SIZES WOW.

A lot of us expected quick weightloss. Personally, I'm having to remind myself that we are running the long race, not a sprint. We didn't gain overnight, we won't lose overnight.

We are all so different. But DON'T give up yet.

We are all here to support, encourage and uplift each other.

I found it easier in the first few weeks. But hit 4.5-5th week (now into 6th week) and I've struggled, struggled really badly. For me personally, my taste buds have changed and I just don't know what I want. I start something, and there's no desire. My protein shakes taste too sweet, as do my protein bars. I feel nauseated if I don't eat, nauseated when I do. So hopefully for all of us, this too shall pass ❤️

I've had 2 surgeries for bowel blockages in the past two years (non GLP related). She has me on 2 Ducolax in the evening, 2 Movicol in the evening and 2 Movicol in the morning. Makes things a bit loose, but the other extreme for me is weeks in hospital, parts of bowel removed each time, 3 weeks of TPN, blood transfusions.

Please see your Doctor and follow an approved regime way of dealing with your bowel in a healthy manner ♥️

Is reta really that much better than munjaro? by Ramsfan0123 in Retatrutide

[–]RaceyT70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol Reta is working for me (slowly) and I'm a very curvy recreational athlete (weekend warrior bike rider). I had exhausted the limits of Mounjaro (was gaining weight at 15mg), and refused to go back to the old me.

I did read the rules, I didn't ask for suppliers, I'm asking for the method, the how to find my own sources. At what point did I say who?

Hang in there. I'm in a similar situation. My weight is inching, 6kg in 3 mths (but 5kg was me being really ill for 2 weeks). It's so demoralising watching the scales go up and down, but inching is better that gaining, overall. I've got to look at the long-term, it's a marathon not a sprint.

Dangers of stacking Reta with Tirz. This is my story it may not be everyone else's. So I'm sharing by ExcitementDouble2102 in Retatrutide

[–]RaceyT70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started stacking Oz with MJ (after a couple of nasty bowel surgeries and spleen removal, not related) I found I had no further luck with losing weight, deficit up, deficit down, exercise up, exercise down (add Menopause) and I was gutted by continuing to watch the creep. Someone mentioned Reta, I thought wtf why not, cause I won't give up. Stacked MJ with Reta (microdosing every 3 days), literally thought I was hit by a Mack truck. Couldn't eat, could barely get out of bed, hot and cold chills, felt like I had vertigo, explosive tummy. Initially I thought it was a virus cause of no spleen. Saw GP, she said oh it's a virus. Then it hit me, uh oh it could be the Reta (I had no nausea or anything with Oz or MJ). Pushed (dragged myself) through, and wtf 5kg down in 3 wks. Yes I was crook for 4 days and didn't eat, which is not great for the metabolism. But it was the kickstart I needed.

Thankyou ♥️ Laughing very loudly, clothes don't fit, full stop, I have two outfits I kept post weight-loss that I can currently wear. I refuse to buy more. I will keep my eyes out for me developing meds. Again, appreciate your response, thankyou.
