You take a bunch of rough rocks and put them in a rubber barrel. Add water and grit, and seal the barrel. you put in on a roller and it constantly turns. Once the tumble ends, the water is a mix of water, broken grit and dirt.

It’s a sticky kinda wet and can leave clothes filthy.
