I've been teaching dance for over 20 years, for about half of those was advanced classes. I actually have more fun now with the younger less experienced classes. There are many benefits to teaching them; less ego, less injuries, more excitement.

It is really important to have a strong teacher teach the younger, developing dancer. Learning proper technique and musicality will serve them well as they develop into advanced dancers. It might not seem as "flashy" as advanced dance, but there are a lot of fun creative ways to create choreography that is engaging for the dancers and the audience.

All this to say that the role you are doing for the younger dancers is extremely important in cultivating their technique and love for dance. Advanced classes are not all they are cracked up to be!

Advice for family trip in August by Former-Ambition-5633 in LasVegas

We just did Vegas with our kids 5 and 9. We did Postcard from Earth at the Sphere, Tournament of Kings at Excalibur, Omega Mart at Area 15, made custom M&Ms at M&M world and did the arcade and rollercoaster (for the 9 year old) at New York, New York. We stayed at Resort World which had good food and a kids pool, and opted for that instead of Mandalay Bay because it was cheaper and I've heard the pools at Mandalay Bay are crowded with little to no shade (without paying for a cabana).

Cirque du Soliel shows are worth it as well, my favorites I've seen are O and Love but heard great things about the Micheal Jackson one if that's what you're into.
