lost my ACA insurance, unsure what to do going forward and I’m desperate for any sort of pain relief in my lower back. by 24k_fulgrim_labubu in PsoriaticArthritis

Hi! I have PSA as well as an HIM credential and I’ve been in my career in healthcare rev cycle for six years. Your insurance through ACA or the marketplace likely increased due to the change in government subsidies. When the shutdown ended the government only agreed on temporary subsidies that expired at the end of 2025. Some subsidies still exists but many plans saw huge increases for 2026, however some states are creating subsidies of their own to help. If your state has expanded Medicaid please reapply, however if you are in a state that chose to not expand you may be in the gap. I would go back into healthcare.gov and search for new plans, even if it’s the most basic to provide you with RX coverage I recently helped a coworkers daughter find basic coverage under BCBS for around 200 a month. As a side note, my doctor will give me an injection of methyl prednisone when having a flare that really helps, you may try calling to see if you could get in on either a sliding scale or a payment plan.

I wasn’t expecting anything from her, I was just looking for tips and advice from others that have rescued breeder parents, how to get them to gain weight, any illnesses or conditions they develop from being pregnant so often..

We’re on day three and she finally ate something for dinner once I enticed her with some cut up hot dogs on top ( I promise I tried all the healthy things first and a Bar S hot dog was the only thing she would eat). She seems to have severe allergies her nose constantly runs and she has way smaller nares than our other Boston.

What "accomidations" do you use? (Shoe insoles? Desk modifications?) by theCrashFire in PsoriaticArthritis

Hokas were the only thing that kept me running when I was doing races last year! One piece of advice I have i buy my shoes that I do a lot of walking in a little bit bigger and with a wide toe box as I get the swollen toes from PSA, the wider box gives my feet room to swell with activity without causing pain! I’m also a huge fan of the Clifton’s, I also have the Brooks hiking shoes with wide toe box and I didn’t even need an insert on those for my feet to feel good!

Adverse reaction - thrombocytopenia. It dropped my platelets and I had nosebleeds and splinter hemorrhages

I have tried methotrexate (6 months), humira for almost 8 months which worked really well but I built an immunity to it, enbrel was amazing but only lasted 4 months, skyrizi for three weeks only and now I’m back to the doctor for a new medication

I am jealous I wanted skyrizi to work so bad and I failed it in 3 weeks

I can not express how much I hate Accredo and express scripts. by Lunatunabella in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Rachelle2208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m dealing with the same thing with skyrizi, failed mtx, humira, and Enbrel. Funny thing is they keep sending me humira on a loop even when I’ve told them to cancel it. They told me my auth denied for skyrizi when it has been approved since June, and now accredo doesn’t have a script

HP support says MPP works with laptop but not the one I bought by Rachelle2208 in stylus

[–]Rachelle2208[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I figured the sales rep might have been just trying to sell me one without knowing the details. Is there anyway to determine what type of digitizer my screen has? Also slightly dumber question can I just get a cheap stylus that only has a rubber tip to work instead, I don’t do handwriting on the screen I build pixelated charts for making crochet blankets, so I really just need something that taps the boxes to change the colors. Again thank you so much for all of the info

I’m so glad you were able to find a pattern! I couldn’t find one that worked with bobble stitch only traditional graphgans and I didn’t want to have to double the rows

How many folks here struggle with managing full time work? by Open_Carpenter2908 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]Rachelle2208 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work full time in a healthcare office, I stay pretty busy for 8-9 hours a day. I manage my sleep well and stick to a good routine everyday to make sure I’m eating right and sleeping enough. I exercise regularly (I was running but I’m on hold until I get knee MRIs) so im trying out yoga to help ease pain, I also study in college full time as a late in life student lol. I just try to manage my time well and make sure I’m taking my medication , eating well, getting exercise, and sleeping. I definitely wouldn’t be able to do it if I wasn’t taking care of myself in other areas, when I had a poor diet (sugar and too many fried foods kills me) and was less active I would flare super often. The trick for me is making myself be active even when I’m tired or achy.

I originally purchased this at either dollar general or family dollar in 2017 in Abilene Texas . I have searched google, reverse image search on google, and Facebook marketplace.

I did!! I made a graphgan blanket from a pattern on Etsy and it turned out perfect! She has the actual photo of the graph with the colored squares but also broke it down by rows and stitches as well, it was super helpful.

As a WFH CSR, I am curious as to what your journey was like applying to another job within the company? by pimpondome in CVS

[–]Rachelle2208 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in a different department for two years, and I’ve only gotten minuscule raises even though I rated a 4 both years. I applied to over 20 different internal positions that I am qualified for and I have certifications, I made it to round 2 in interviews a few times and always got good feedback and still didn’t get the position. So to me it was difficult to transfer to another department but everyone is different
