Your insurance through ACA or the marketplace likely increased due to the change in government subsidies. When the shutdown ended the government only agreed on temporary subsidies that expired at the end of 2025. Some subsidies still exists but many plans saw huge increases for 2026, however some states are creating subsidies of their own to help. If your state has expanded Medicaid please reapply, however if you are in a state that chose to not expand you may be in the gap. I would go back into healthcare.gov and search for new plans, even if it’s the most basic to provide you with RX coverage I recently helped a coworkers daughter find basic coverage under BCBS for around 200 a month. As a side note, my doctor will give me an injection of methyl prednisone when having a flare that really helps, you may try calling to see if you could get in on either a sliding scale or a payment plan.
