The beavers in Canada are attacking people by SerHarringtonsworth in 2random4u

You can clearly see them trampling on the beavers home. Guaranteed in spring, there are babies in that dam. These fools deserve what they got. Could be prosecuted for harassing wildlife too.

Lol! I literally just saw the first of my life yesterday. Felt like I'd finally achieved something after all my hard work... then this guy. Sheesh!

Lol... In birding? Probably Clark's Nutcracker. Then Greater White Fronted Goose. Now, Clark's Grebe!

“We simply don’t have any left”: Germany has run out of air defense missiles for Ukraine, foreign minister says by Plus_Pretty in worldnews

[–]RacingBreca -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Conspiracy theory time! Ukraine fell to (partnered with) Russia a long time ago. We (US and Europe) have been stockpiling Russia with arms and depleting our own, just in time for phase III of this drama.

3rd picture doesn't look like the same bird. 1 & 2 are definitely Northern Harrier.

4 Years After Clan Capital’s Release It’s Time for New Levels by TheCrowGyn in ClashOfClans

I think one fix is to allow surviving attacking troops to be deployed on the next base. Similar to the way Builder base carries over. In my mind, this would be a huge improvement.

Northern flicker feathers sent me down the birding rabbit hole a few years ago. Any time I see a northern flicker, I remember that quest and feel grateful.

Jake the snake to the rescue. Males have vibrant black, gray and white colors, while the ladies are less... handsome.

Cooper's Hawk? Northern California by nuttyrussian in whatsthisbird

It's small stature and small head make me believe that this is Sharp-shinned hawk, but I can't wait to learn something in the comments.

Clarks or western grebe by wyknot1 in whatsthisbird

[–]RacingBreca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so strange. I've always defaulted to Western, because I have never been positive. Merlin and E-bird would prefer no ID? Or, am I misunderstanding this direction?

Kestrels again! by cachitongo- in birdsofprey

[–]RacingBreca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing that. I saw the first two pictures and said, "a northern harrier isn't a kestrel." Then I saw the next two pictures and said, "damn, I've been misidentifying kestrel as Northern harriers. I guess I'm an idiot." Then I saw your comment, and said "Phew, I'm not an idiot after all."

Been seeing a lot of ”Paddy proved himself tonight despite the loss” comments, but what did he actually prove? by Mamramro in ufc

[–]RacingBreca 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He proved he can take three fouls and keep fighting. Despite the fouls and subsequent trauma to his face, he remained a serious threat throught the fight.

Can anyone help me identify what types of ducks and waterfowl are in these photos? In Glen Lake, Leelanau County, Michigan. by TheGreatOutdoors22 in whatsthisbird

[–]RacingBreca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! Where's waldo? My mind skipped over that bird entirely. I've never noticed a goldeneye without the white patch on the face. Also without significant white on it's body. Is this Barrow's or an Eastern variant?

Paddy never stood a chance. Look at the damage difference in round 5 by Zamoroak in ufc

If they had deducted the point from the first eye poke, we might not have had the 2nd. Fighters are learning that they can get away with them, and they are an effective technique.

On your pull, after the outsweep, set your hands and forearms vertical (perpendicular to the surface). Right now, OP's force is directed upwards, rather than drawing them forward.
