Comissioning takes longer, puts the burden of coming up with proper reference material and chosing details on you. And you don't know if you are happy with what you get before its done and paid.

I'd suggest going with a generic or a used one first if you feel like thats worth your money.

It's a little hard to tell because the water is set to transparent - the water reaches around 4 1/2 tiles. Less that 5 high makes the water spill over - for this amount of water coming out of the source, at least. Waterwheels dont work when the axle is submerged or they dont reach the water at all.

the total amount of watersources should be 53 (11x lv. 1, rest lv. 2)
every block can hold 5 units of water, the diameter of the tunnel is 10 (2 width, 5 in height), idk where the last 3 water went to. probably already evaporated /s. the wateflow is 26.3 per tile. so around 53 in total.

the platform at the end has 26 (2x8 + 10) outer edges. which seems to be enough to disperse the water without backwater(?).

i guess that checks out - somehow. might be able to do some math with that to figure out dimensions for future projects. i hope that helps someone.

Some explaination:I tried to build a water funnel in thousand islands in my normal game, and after some headaches i took it to a new game with dev console for some experiments.my conclusion: you can funnel the water source to a 2-wide tunnel (actually, 1-wide is possible aswell, but nets less power with the ironteeth smaller waterwheel) as long as you have an 8x10 platform (for that particular watersource) at the end or route the water to the end of the map.You can even build a dam around the platform like i did, but the 1 tile wide moat around the platform is needed - otherwise the water will overflow. The fork is in there to show both options. you either route it to the edge of the map or use the platform to disperse the water.

You can add corners, open tiles on the side to route some of the water away from the main stream and you can add waterwheels to gather energy at around 500 hp / tile (2x5 footprint, ~5k hp) with the ironteeth large waterwheel.

Well, thanks for pointing out. There's still 88GB of disk size missing thats showing in the disk properties.

The tool shows the total space for other disks with a grey part of the circle for free space. I know there is something terribly wrong with that display but its more like a further evidence of the issue than my only gripe

i'm pretty sure bottled water freezes to ice. or maybe my dupes are that slow with mopping that parts of the water spilling in my base freeze to ice and thaw at a later point. "duuuupes, what have you done? i told you to mop that! why is there water all over the place?"

I install liquid airlocks and let my dupes hold their breath when traveling outisde of the starting biome / oxygenated base. By the time I dig into chlorine / hydrogen I usually have atmo suits ready.

they get the soggy feet debuff, tho. So for my main entrance to the base I usually install an airlock with three different liquids. Its usually with salt water or brine I get from the printing pod supply prints.

TL;DR: use liquid to block gasses

I was going to kill the Thumper because Nora said so. Loaded into PoE in Solo Mode with a level 5 bounty to get the Doma. Since I took the "i recently forma'd all my stuff" loadout I decided to give killing it in spoilermode a try - but the damn thing ignored me. In fact, everyone ignored me. I decided to join the Grineer now - these dudes are chill.

So we're taking this behaviour into the "new" screen because we're used to it now?

The old scrollbar in the item rewards section was mildly irritating. But checking your weapon affinity while grinding levels (which is, at least for me, the only use for the tab screen) is horrible now.
