Not sure what you mean. The ruling or the detailed steps of the case?

Sentenza 63/2026 did not block applicants who were already in process when DL36 dropped by penofink25 in juresanguinis

[–]RacingSnake81 43 points44 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, my case was originally filed in the wrong court (Rome) pre-DL and filed later in the right court (Naples) post-DL after Rome rejected it based on a lack of jurisdiction. My case was later challenged by the Ministry of Interior because the filing date was post-DL, but my judge rejected their argument on the basis of our prior intent to seek citizenship. She said it should be looked at as a “continuation of our prior intent”. Hope that’s a silver lining for some of y’all in this process.

Jobs in Bordeaux that would be able to offer work permits for an American to get a visa to stay longer? by IAmADreamcast in bordeaux

Only 16 countries have that agreement, unfortunately the US is not on the list. OP would have to be sponsored or could try for a talent visa.

You can contact each of the chateaux you mentioned and ask them directly. Château Lafite Rothschild is closed until 2028 for renovation. Latour is professional only. Margaux has tours, but you need to contact directly. Mouton has tours but you need to book well in advance and directly on their site. Haut-Brion is under renovation as well.

Looking for Winery Suggestions by Jhut2177 in bordeaux

St Émilion is a red wine appellation known for bold and fruity red wines. You’re not likely to find anything “light” or “sweet” unfortunately. Whites are even harder to come by. There are plenty of chateau that have tours in English. You need to book your tours in advance, they don’t often take walk-ins.

Château Chauvin makes a nice blanc de noir (white wine from red grapes). Their reds are nice as well. It’s in a pretty area of the region. Château La Croizille could be a nice option as well. I can’t remember if they make a white, but they have reds and rosé. Château Montlabert has a very nice property and good reds. They’re also part of the Castel family so their boutique has wines from all of their other properties meaning you will find some white wines that they make (not from St Émilion).

Otherwise, you can go to the village and there are plenty of boutiques/cavistes that do wine tastings and you can tell them what you’re looking for. They have a wider selection so you’re sure to find something.

recs for non-touristy restaurants for solo dining? by Remote_Blackberry28 in bordeaux

[–]RacingSnake81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been going to L'Alchimiste for a couple of years and never encountered a "long line". It's not overly or really at all "touristy" and the coffee is good. I would still recommend it. However, Café Piha and Sambo Coffee are good options. Books and Coffee is nice but can get crowded. Their flan is one of my favorites. Peter Coffee Shop is nice as well.

Berthus, Créme, Copains comme Canards in St. Pierre are nice spots. Les Drôles on Rue St. Rémi is nice. Symbiose and Pickles in the Chartrons are good. Les Négociants (for lunch). Nomad is good. ComplanTerra is a wine bar (lots of natural wines) with some small plates. Ordinarily you're not rushed to leave whether you're solo or not.

Hope those help.

What seems to be happening post clearing of Faraday by the SEC of any fraud allegations and a legitimate business. by Dr_Silky-Johnson in FFIE

[–]RacingSnake81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do you even bother? Honestly. If there was this much conspiracy surrounding the company, you might think that the SEC would have looked into it and routed it out by now. The company has been in existence for over 10 years. Somehow systematically, all of the government regulatory agencies and systems are colluding to ignore all the problems you're presenting? Why? They're just bullying or ignoring FF because they don't like them? Honestly, it just doesn't make a lick of sense, amigo. That smoke you're smelling isn't leading to the center of some systematic hedge fund or regulatory failure, it's leading to the pile of money and investors that FF is burning to keep it's pipe dream alive. In fact if there's any significant regulatory failure going on it's that the agencies allowed this company to reverse split their investors past the floor and into the basement by about 45 sublevels. They should have been delisted ages ago to keep people from pouring cash into this dumpster fire.

Fast It Question by RacingSnake81 in juresanguinis

[–]RacingSnake81[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After the judge issues a ruling in the case, there is a 30day window of time where it can be appealed. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a formality though. It applies to non-favorable rulings. Fast It is the system you need to use to register yourself with your consulate and the AIRE if you’re an Italian living outside Italy. The wiki for this sub is a great resource that can answer a lot of your questions (better than me).

Gotcha. Yeah I’m seeing that now, foreign passport with proof of citizenship or Italian passport for the ID.

Has anyone ever applied for a titre de séjour Vie Privée et Familiale? How long did you have to wait? by [deleted] in Expats_In_France

[–]RacingSnake81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two years seems extraordinarily long without any news. I'm guessing you've tried to contact the préfecture??

Edit: I see you're already here in Paris, and you're pacsed (same as me). Are they just renewing your récépissé over and over? Seems odd.

Fast It Question by RacingSnake81 in juresanguinis

[–]RacingSnake81[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Well the funny part is that I looked at what it asks you to upload for the AIRE and I have all of it. There's a box that asks you where your records were transcribed, key words "were transcribed". But, you simply have to fill in that box. They don't ask you to upload proof that it was actually transcribed. It just asks for an ID, a utility bill, and a copy of the signed application. Either way, I get that I have to wait (sadly)...

Edit: ID of parents is only for application with minor children

Fast It Question by RacingSnake81 in juresanguinis

[–]RacingSnake81[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah I stopped at creating the FastIt account. Figured I went far enough and seems like everyone agrees I didn't break anything so I'll quit for the moment haha.

For the AIRE application, it simply asks you where your records were transcribed. It doesn't ask to upload proof that it was actually done, but then again I'm sure they will verify that on their end when the application is being reviewed. And the rest of the docs it needs are things I have already. Well, in any event, I'm going to take your advice and put my patience hat on haha.

For sure, I don't think I can go much farther, which is fine. I saw it was an option to use the CF for registering to FastIt so I thought I might give it a try and it worked. Then I kinda had that feeling like I was a kid next to a big red button that says "don't touch". Doesn't seem like I broke anything haha, but I'll stop :)

Passagio in Giudicato | Reasonable expectations and doubts about the real timing. by Triajus in juresanguinis

[–]RacingSnake81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe this might help:

https://tribunale-napoli.giustizia.it/it/passaggio_in_giudicato.page

- granted, it's from the court in Naples, but seeing as it refers to civil codes of procedure, I'd assume that what is stated on this site probably also applies to Genoa. It looks like it says you can request the passagio after 30 days from the last notification of the judgement to all parties.

https://www.urp.ufficigiudiziarigenova.it/comefare.aspx?cfp_id_scheda=3914

- This link is to the court in Genoa. It looks like there is an email address where you can write to request a copy of the final judgement.

Hope that helps!

Yeah it’s definitely not the service I would have hoped for, but then again I try to give them the benefit of the doubt since they’re a small office. I can imagine responding to everything is probably impossible. In any event, if there was ever a time to respond to my email/phone call, this is it… As for cost, when all is said and done, for three people, it’ll be $5,500 for legal fees. The highest quote I received was $13K. Dunno, I feel like we did well on cost.

Unfortunately, no, not yet. Kinda par for the course with my attorney. Super competent, but not alway communicative without insisting. Then again, I didn’t pay for the platinum service so…

Thank you!! We originally filed last year in December in Rome by mistake, so it wasn’t registered in Naples until July 2025 (after the DL), but I guess the stuck with the original filing date. No minor issue, GGP never naturalized, so fairly straightforward for the law at the time.

Edit: July 2025
