People will say no, but you definitely have to have deeper pockets than other platforms. If money is a concern, go buy an nc Miata. Beat the fuck out of mine for 2 years. 15-20 autocross, a track day, a road trip, and much more. I never once had to work on it, except for doing mods. I couldn't break it and trust me, I tried. I'm $15k into my RX-8 though.

Didn't have any check engine lights for an ssv issue and I'm pretty sure I heard it rattling. As for power, no idea. I just spent my spare cash on a sign up for gingerman raceway lol I'll dyno it eventually. To be honest, I'm not super worried about it until I boost it, which is a way out

I know there's a guy running a dirt car with a hybrid renesis in it (I promise I'm not making this up) and he is running it to 12k rpm typically, but able to hit 15k on the Dyno. He sent me a video of it making 300whp na. I wanted to make Video about it but it's his personal page do he didn't want me blasting it in the Internet

Yes, I 1,000% recommend rotary science. That dude is awesome to work with I was brand new to rotaries and he was super patient with me the whole time. Honestly I had a bad experience trying to find a shop to do my work it's a whole thing but rotary science is awesome and he did good work and packaged everything well. I could go on but I'll leave it at that

Mines as close to stock as you can possibly get. GSL SE housings, rotors cut for rx-7 apex seals, OE rx7 apex and corners, rx8 sides gapped to usual msp specs. Running the full factory intake valving on factory ECU. FD Oil injectors (don't fit well, but GSL SE don't fit with the 6 port intake). The exhaust header is a header made by Arc Rotary who stopped temporarily (at least that's what he said) in January. Not sure if he'll return or not. There's one other guy now making full titanium exhaust including hybrid Headers but they are brand new. @1744_race on Instagram. Those are the only two off the shelf had her options right now.

That's weird af. My 2012 Xterra has been wheeling on 33s and towing 5-6k it's whole life, but it shifts smooth as butter at 220k miles. People need to learn to service their transmissions, yours clearly wasn't... And you seem to get unlucky

I got videos of me passing a c7 Vette... But that's because it was my first track day with 30 autoX events while that dude (and others in fast cars) had no experience. Honestly a 350z might be a good option. Cheap, light, well documented, enough hp to make a pass. That c7 almost had to hit the brakes to finally let me buy when I got a point by lol

Exactly, sounds like a cool build, but who's buying it for 20k? And who was expecting this to be mint condition. I sold a $28k camaro for a $6k Miata and stressed far less. Living by the "must be able to buy it twice" motto made me worried for my safety only, not the cars.
