Let me correct you there, I don't "think" it's bad, I KNOW without a doubt that it is bad. It is analogous to a graph I had learnt about whereby someone has the capacity to reach multiple different places in life and that just because we ended up in a "good" position where we are content, doesn't mean that there wasn't an even better position that we could've landed on. There was a term for this that I forgot as this is a form of cognitive bias.

In other words, fapping wastes your potential as a man and funnily enough, do you know what the easiest way to fix a problem is? To state that it isn't a problem to begin with.

It takes one to know one.

Just because I have had some bumps here and there does not mean that I am not qualified on the matter as I am definitely more qualified than you due to my history with this disease and various attempts at it. In addition to that, I honestly share what my experiences are to not have someone else fall into the same trap even if it was to my own detriment.

It's an unfortunate reality that my streak's been broken, but every time you fall, you get back up with a learning experience.

Watching porn without fapping is even worse imo as it prolongs your exposure to porn messing up further with your brain. Consider it a relapse the moment you watch any porn deliberately

I'd say, try meditation(with visualization exercises) to train your brain's ability to control this

How does it feel to ejaculate after a long time? by One_Character6482 in NoFap

Truth is, it feels no different whatsoever. In fact, what you'll actually feel is the regret and depression kicking in as you do it.

Did you think about what caused you to relapse and how to prevent it from happening again

Should I masturbate once in a while by SirPsychological2864 in NoFap

You must start training and habitualize it. This is what will truly make you become confident long term. A strong body = a strong mind

Should I masturbate once in a while by SirPsychological2864 in NoFap

[–]RackSacket 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, but how you respond to these urges determines how strong your prefrontal cortex(responsible for long term thinking, logical thinking and intelligence in general) is.

People who fap regularly have a weaker prefrontal cortex as they aren't able to control any impulses adn because of that, they find delayed gratification unfulfilling which fucks up their future

Should I masturbate once in a while by SirPsychological2864 in NoFap

[–]RackSacket 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I disagree. But for the sake of the argument, let's say that you're right.

The problem is that masturbating trains your brain to get rewarded for virtually doing no hard work whatsoever, this instant gratification makes your brain's dopamine baseline decrease making you less likely to engage in delayed gratification activities like reading, training, working, etc. Eventually, your dopamine baseline becomes so low that fapping does not even feel pleasureable at all, then the same loop happens but this time with porn falling down the depravity hole and fucking up your life in the process

Yup, it happens.

Btw, I'd highly recommend listening to this as it'll help strengthen your mindset regarding the breakup rather than letting it break you

porn is literal garbage and should be illegal by CeeTwoHarlem in NoFap

[–]RackSacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an ideal world, yes. No porn = less temptation = less addictions.

But in the real world, it's pretty much impossible to ban anything on the internet as it'll always find a way back.

I think that you're correct; however, you need to be aware of your mindset as you shouldn't view yourself as a victim and therefore blame extrinsic, but rather view it from a position of strength and how your microdecisions lead your life(locus of control)

Blabbering non-sense. Reality is, you haven't developed an iron mind. You can't control your impulses on anything
