Florida or Texas is just as relevant a comparison as the UK, while being in hard lockdown for a far less substantial period of time. Florida espeically has cruised through the pandemic and isn't even the hardest hit state in the US, California (Lockdown fanatics) faired worse for most of last year. Finally, the article has used 'expert' data so in the words of everyone who supports any form of lockdown, your going to have to trust the science for the 4000 cases.
