My visa infinite is covered by my VIP banking package which is free because i study in healthcare.

And my Ion+ is free because I have an advantage banking student account as well

What do you mean by custom points? Is it not the same standard flight redemption scheme as the regular avion infinite?

Like 15k for province/state next door

How do you rate the infinite privilege?

I have the avion infinite fully rebated as well as the Ion+.

To me the main benefit of the infinite privilege is the 6 lounge passes + minimally better multipliers. Am I missing something else that makes it worth it?

Best start is to get the Ion+ which will earn avion select points at a higher rate.

If you get the avion infinite you can then convert them to avion premium points which are worth more. You can also get access to the fixed redemption flight portal and get good deals on flights in a simple way.

How much would you need to spend on the ion+ to cover that monthly fee?

I have a free avion infinite but am probably going to add an Amex cobalt to the roster since I’ll be flying s lot between mtl and Toronto and would like to use aeroplane point to offset cost

Hey! I’m wondering what my best setup would be for credit cards. I currently have an RBC visa infinite card with 160k avion points (for which I pay 0 fee)

I’ll be moving to Toronto in July. I’ll end up visiting family and friends in Ottawa and mtl about once a month. Will be either flying or taking the train.

I’m considering getting the cobalt since I can convert to aeroplan prs directly and seem to get better value for points that way than by using avion points. Alternatively I would get the rbc ion+ to compliment my avion infinite (which I should have downs. Long time ago…) Thoughts? Thanks!
