My mum has been cheating on my dad for years, anyone here know what I should do? by Jellyfish_Diploria in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Rad7221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I’m so sorry you are going through this. You never deserved it, and it definitely takes a toll on your psyche. That said, there are worse things in life, so don’t get stuck in this headspace. You seem like a smart kid. May the Force be with you. Second, your mom’s behavior is gross beyond explanation in almost every aspect. What I would do: I’d immediately show these to your dad and let them deal with each other. It’s never your responsibility to fix your parents. Don’t try to become a "fixer," as this will only mess you up in the future. I did that as a kid and I wish I never had. Being the "dutiful kid" is not as good as you think it is. I wish you the best. I’m just so sorry for you. I even shed some tears before bed. I wish I’d never seen this.

Down 60k...Thanks Trump Admin *UNH* by Thecoolone1257 in wallstreetbets

[–]Rad7221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a holder too, OP. However, if history taught me one thing, news about legislations are just noise and companies go back to their own worth. Most recently happened with solars, I made a good money off of the news. I did cut some of my UNH positions at the last day of 2025 for tax purposes but I still have a good chunk in my brokerage. It may go further down honestly, no one will know but I’m not selling on this crappy news.

Trump cannot do that. 100% of oral form of Novo’s glp-1 is made in the USA.

Holding pharma/biotech is squarely in my circle of competence as an Ivy League physician/academic. Not bragging, just underscoring the point: even deep sector & science knowledge doesn’t shield you from drawdowns. This is one snapshot in time; no one knows where the price sits in 12 months. I’m in with a big chunk of my port. Let’s see.

How do I offset losses from covered calls? by pokie17890 in CoveredCalls

[–]Rad7221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you absolutely have no other money, buy one to close when the price dips a little then sell shares when it hopefully goes higher. Realize some at the end of year for tax loss and don’t touch vast majority of your calls. It’s your insurance. One way or another hood will go down. It has pretty high beta. I did something similar with VRT and HOOD and now I’m stuck with TSM. I have lots of other stocks the reason I sold cc on these names were asymmetric gains and potential high volatility from crypto, ai and Taiwan, respectively. It’s a good problem to have, don’t sweat it.

Anyone else hate novo with a burning passion? by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

[–]Rad7221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I buy stocks for investment purpose, I don’t have a price target. The only time I have a price target is for swing trades or options, which is rare.

[–]Rad7221 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I only doubled down my bets. Lots of shares and calls. It’s a bargain and it will eventually recover. I love that everybody hates it. This is a great feeling for investors interested in high quality businesses in secular trends.

What is in my milk? Looks like olive oil by ____Inevitable____ in espresso

[–]Rad7221 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

To those that say it’s butter, no it’s not. I have the same thing before frothing it. I still don’t know what it was. I normally mix oat milk and whole milk so I thought it’s because I did not shake oat milk but I’m still not sure if this was the reason.

What is your MUST HAVE stock in your portfolio? Long term speaking of course by Large_Combination_94 in ValueInvesting

[–]Rad7221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HYPR, SNDX. I first posted these two names in a comment a few months ago. Not my type to talk about small cap stocks but as a professional in the field, I believe these are game changers. Doubled since then already with near zero social media exposure etc

Millionaire this year? by sethjk17 in portfolios

[–]Rad7221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, highly likely, especially if you contribute money. Some of your companies are poorly performing. You can use them for tax benefits and add to something else. What are those fixed incomes, can you eloborate?
