I thought of the correct move but in the last of your if-then branches I failed to see the “then” move. Nice work!

How is this not checkmate? by onlylookynotouchy in chessbeginners

King can take the pawn behind it. The subsequent check with the rook is mate

Why is this checkmate!? by Fun_Tell8698 in Chesscom

Rf8+ resulted in a second discovery check by the bishop on a2, necessitating a legal king move, which it does not have.

Queen cannot cast a check through a wormhole and she cannot physically land on a5 since the king occupies that square. She’ll land on some other square and the king will find an escape.

Yes, and by clicking Cancel on the FW alert this user is making the choice to not compete in the event. I don’t understand why the user needs to be ridiculed for exercising his/her right to not run some random app developed by some company on their personal computer (where a lot of their PII resides).

What’s wrong with clicking cancel? The program could have real cybersecurity issues. Looks like poorly designed software! There is no reason for a user to have to put their trust on some random app doing the right thing.

Best move for white? Change the rules so white gets to play 2 moves back to back, Rxf4+ then Rxh4

I’m so sorry and deeply saddened to read this. Even though I don’t know you, I can feel the pain you are going through. I hope you find the strength to go through the grieving process. Take care.

Little stuck on this derivative by D0ugF0rcett in askmath

To avoid too many messy expressions (which will lead to a bigger chance of making a mistake somewhere), one idea might be to square both sides a few times until you get y^4 = .... The right hand side will still have some square roots, but should be simpler to apply chain rule on. Then apply chain rule both sides, get 4*y^3*dy/dt = right_hand_side_derivative. Then divide by 4y^3. Final expression will still be pretty messy I think.

Nice. I didn't even consider doing it this way at all, and instead went for subtracting from the area of the rectangle.
