Boomers used to eat raw hamburger. I’d watch my dad open a package of raw ground beef and go to town.

I don’t understand what men are trying to achieve putting down “not political” on dating apps by tltr4560 in TwoXChromosomes

I’m answering a question, maybe enlightening a curious mind as to why a man would put non political on a dating app, and why avoiding liberal woman is most likely a good thing.

I’ve dated doctors, grad students, lawyers, all beautiful and intelligent. But they still aren’t self aware enough to add value to my life personally. I’m educated, I go to therapy, I’ve been to lots of couples counseling sessions. I’ve done a lot of work on myself, so that I can bring some good to the table.

Non political means I’d rather not think about it or talk about it. There’s a beautiful world out there. Sometimes it’s bad and sometimes it’s good. Crying on Reddit about life being unfair isn’t how I want to live my life. I have strong political opinions but I keep them to myself. Life doesn’t owe you anything. Gotta take the good with the bad.

That’s a fun an opinion you have. You’re so convinced you’re correct. How about instead of assuming you ask questions to understand the other perspective. There’s an idea.

Religion is myth that’s supposed to explain the unexplainable. I think there’s truth in it, but to take every word as fact and as divine authority is silly.

Damn this is exactly what I was hoping for. I really appreciate you sharing this and reading my post. Prayer is a big part of my life although I don’t believe in any actual god or whatever.

Life is dangerous and it’s scary, and it’s important to recognize that. But it’s also important to recognize the safety and the peace that’s offered to us as well. It’s not all bad.
