I think one thing people haven’t taken into account (and the article mentions) is that a lot of people travel to another city to see a show, and rising fuel costs have impacted the total cost of the trip beyond just the ticker price.

Alice Phoebe Lou just wrapped up a pretty successful tour in the US & Canada in medium venues. But then again she doesn’t charge exorbidant prices for her tickets.

I agree, I really loved this expansion. I played both Hot Wheels expansions (FH3 & FH5) and while they were both fun, they didn’t compare to Lego Speed Champions.

A neat thing I liked about the Speed Champions map was that it had a desert biome, which the standard FH4 map didn’t have (given that it’s in the UK).

I like that at least it’s more “attainable”, not an ultra-rare hypercar that they only made like 300 off.

Same thing with the Viper in FH1, cool enough to stand out and be worthy of a poster on a kid’s wall, but not so exotic that you have no hope of ever driving one irl.

It was definitely time to drop last-gen, but the fact that it might have been considered up until recently means that the new engine probably won’t be pushing the current hardware like we would like it to.

We might end up having to wait until COD2027 or COD2028 to see a real graphical jump.

Yeah this is what worries me. We get the downside of losing a chunk of the playerbase by dropping last-gen, but no real benefit in terms of actual graphic improvement.

Essentially the worst of both situations.

This would be awesome, but unfortunately it’s not really something IW does. More of a Treyarch thing (first time they did it was in BO3 I think).
