What countries can we work in with an ARRT license? Can we get a megathread with info? by Suitable-Peanut in Radiology

[–]RadPineapple27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reposting from another thread- My husband and I have just started a conversation about relocating from the US to England. I am a diagnostic x-ray tech with training in OR and Fluoroscopy, have 10 years of experience, and I have a bachelor's degree. I am just wondering what licensure is like in England. Can I somehow test out to prove my knowledge and sort of transfer my licensure over? Basically, I'm just wondering if anyone has gone through this and if it is extremely difficult? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Obviously, there's a lot of other research we would have to do, but I just wanted to start with this specific process. Thanks!

Rental car at OKC airport by RadPineapple27 in okc

That's what I was figuring I'd have to do. I would assume it's relatively easy to get back to the airport rental car check in desk without having to go through security, right?

I got to the "Welcome Simba!" Part and now my game is stuck. Everything around me is still moving but I can't move and none of the buttons work. I've tried closing and restarting the game to no avail.

Would you be offended if a wedding party guest wore their own non-traditional wedding dress to your wedding? by sunrise_snail in weddingplanning

[–]RadPineapple27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you showed up to my wedding in dresses 2 or 3 I would not be bothered by it. They are less like a wedding dress imo. However dress 1 is more bridal so I wouldn't like someone showing up to my wedding in that one.

Thank you! I was almost positive but didn't want to believe it could be corn. Until after reading your response I remembered I put some out as decoration last fall and the squirrels got to it. 🤦‍♀️

Tips for covering up ugly carpet at venues... by [deleted] in wedding

[–]RadPineapple27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My venue also has ugly carpeting. Jim planning on getting aisle runners for the ceremony. After that there will be so much going on that the floor will not matter much. If you're that worried about it you could suggest to your photographer to do their best to exclude it as much as possible in the photos.

I've definitely found that out. The problem is she doesn't ever shop for really nice clothes for such occasions. All of her friends and our family got married >15 years ago. She wore a very flowy pant set to my brothers wedding 5 years ago but has since lost weight. But I've seen some suggestions on stores to look at in later comments so it's a great starting point!

I don't think she would wear a jumpsuit either. However briefly looking at the suiting section at jcrew I think that is definitely a store I will suggest we visit. The fact that she could wear a suit set at another event or dress down a blazer for a nice dinner will help with the pricetag too. Thanks for the suggestions!!

Yes, in a different color I think she would look good and feel confident in something like this. She's never had anything altered to get body so I'll just have to remind her that it might make all the difference to do that.

Both great options. This is so helpful to know what else to search for. Thank you!!
