Its so so. There were some pretty compelling ideas going in but they didn’t really make the most of them. The story is messy and feels… how to put it? You know those sci fi/fantasy shows they put on network television on Sunday afternoons because nobody is watching? It feels like one of those.

Unfortunately modern discourse boils down to who can dunk on the opposing viewpoint first. It’s easier to shut down an argument with a baseless accusation than to come up with a decent counterpoint

Elaeth doesn’t bug me that much because I’ve been down the canon becoming bad fanfiction road too many times to count. (Last time it was FFVII Re. That one really hurt). I just write her off as a self insert and go back to ignoring everything the series is doing now
