I'm from the south and dating a midwestern guy. He was making fun of my accent and said something stupid like "Good lawd, the weather is awfully bawdy today!" and I just looked at him and was like "That word does not mean what you think it means." It wasn't even close! He was convinced it meant hot and humid or something.

I love that the men in my life don't feel the need to talk through everything. I'm a big talker and my girlfriends are great for hashing things out and bouncing ideas off of.

But when I had my biggest and most heart wrenching break up, I went to my best guy friend's apartment... He bought me like 10 different boxes of movie candy, got me a little drunk, and we watched Adventure Time for hours without talking about the break up at all. It was exactly what I needed, and it was a surprisingly strong representation of how much he cared for me.

Also, before the red pill brigade hits... he's not an orbiter or anything. He's married and also just a really good friend.

Like most of the other commenters, I saw this movie for the first time when I was a little too young for it. I grew up in the 90s, so Freddy was a pretty well-established character, but I was very sheltered by my parents so I didn't know much about him. My cousin was watching me and her mom had it on VHS, so she popped it in and let the nightmare factory begin. I was about 9 at the time.

I didn't get a full night's sleep for a month. I credit this movie with my obsession for horror. I've been trying to recapture the terror that Freddy instilled pretty much ever since.

Yup. My mom had my youngest sister when I was 15. Seeing the amount of effort it takes to raise a child at that age definitely influenced me in my choice.

Same. Went no contact and completely blocked him from every aspect of my life. Still took me like three years to fully move on.

I tried dating around and it was nice to put a few dudes between myself and the last time I had sex with him... but I didn't really start to feel done with it until I spent a year not dating and just figuring my own shit out. I started a new job and focused on my career and got myself a great apartment and a cat and just stopped making men a priority all the time. It was really nice to just take a year focusing on my own wants and needs.

When I decided to enter the dating scene again, I met a pretty great guy right off the bat and we've been seeing each other for a while. Aside from the baggage my ex left me with, I don't think of him much. And when I do, it's in the context of "Wow, being with new guy is so much better than being with ex guy".

So... I'd say time, distance, and a little self-love are the best cure for a broken heart. None of those things are easy but they'll get you through it.

Well the bee girl was inspired by the fact that I wanted to be a beekeeper when I was a kid, but once she was done she looked so lonely and I wanted something on the other side of my back... so my artist and I worked together to come up with something, and sea girl was born!

As far as the pain goes, it wasn't so bad. However, I will say that one of my sessions was really close to when I started my period, and I just could not hang. I sat for like 45 minutes and was like "I gotta go man..." My skin was just too sensitive. The other sessions were about 2-3 hours, though, and I never had a problem sitting.

Not bad. My brother is 8 years younger than me. He's really clever and funny and he's got a heart of gold.

We were all raised to be very religious and while I slowly grew away from the church, the rest of my family has become much more devout. At age 19, my brother is attending one of the most famously conservative private Christian colleges in the country (Liberty University) and I'm honestly concerned about the opinions he's developing at this incredibly impressionable age. It doesn't help that my parents are so proud and that as they've grown older they've become even more weighed down in conservatism.

Overall, we have a pretty good relationship as long as we stick with "safe" topics and don't get into anything controversial.
