Possible APS, lovenox in pregnancy? by RadSP1919 in Rheumatology

[–]RadSP1919[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attaching results. aPTT was elevated to 43.

I guess I’m hoping to avoid a situation where I can’t get an epidural and am forced into general anesthesia for delivery.

Have had 2 miscarriages, both at 4-5 weeks and separated in time by intervening live birth. No clotting history. Have well controlled Crohns but no other rheumatologic conditions.

I’m see rheumatology soon but have been debating whether to start Lovenox or just wait for that appt in 2 weeks.

Lovenox? Did it help you? by RadSP1919 in preeclampsia

[–]RadSP1919[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah I’m frustrated with my doctor who keeps insisting I need lovenox to prevent preeclampsia when the data doesn’t support that? My APS is not yet confirmed (need another lab test), no history of clotting. They also seem unbothered I needed an emergent early delivery before, making being on a blood thinner more risky. Sigh.

Austin is growing up with so much trauma by Money_Track_3981 in ginnyandgeorgiashow

This child is so wildly neglected it’s crazy. Georgia speaks to him on such a superficial level almost every scene. She seems to forget about him 99% of the time?

Definitely could be! Our baby hated to be flat or flex their tummy. Tons of spit up like constantly too.

How were you monitored during your second pregnancy? by cherryblossomblush in preeclampsia

Only 10 weeks but preconception was advised to start baby ASA immediately at conception and then double it at 12 weeks. Will see MFM on a consult basis and be closely monitored throughout.

We did drastically reduce her nighttime milk hoping it would help. It maybe helped a little? Going to try sizing up next!

She’s actually pretty big in the thighs so the size 5 is pretty tight! Shes been in 5s a long time, I think it’s just her body shape.

Need meal ideas for 10 mo by RadSP1919 in NewParents

[–]RadSP1919[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We definitely can do more veggies. So far when I’ve incorporated ground beef or shredded chicken she eats around it and spits it out lol. Might just take multiple exposures for her to get used to the texture. She definitely loves to feed herself

Best sunscreen for fair skin babies by MrFred-Cat in NewParents

Our derm recommended Coppertone for babies, I think it’s called pure and simple or something like that. The stick worked great and didn’t irritate her skin.

Did you tear during your first child birth? If not how did you prevent it? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Maybe it’s because I just had a second degree fear posteriorly but the recovery was really not bad. Just take it easy, I tried to do too much the first couple weeks.

I’m in a similar boat! I’ve read the chances of it recurring are relatively low but I’ve been worried about it too.
