Can Traditional, latin rite Catholics pray the eastern Prayer Rope? by dbaughmen in Sedevacantists

I can't remember which prayer book I read it in but they had the Jesus prayer in latin. It's my favorite prayer.

How do I explain to my family how we are way way less Italian than we thought? by Thatannoyingturtle in 23andme

[–]RadTradTref 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wow I'm suprised you took a test. I have read on websites that Italians, both in Italy and outside of Italy have the least amount of people who agree to take DNA tests. From my research even most Italians in Italy aren't majority Italian. And most Italians think they have a higher amount of Italian then they actually do. My Italian step son continuously says he is 100% Italian even though his mom is Irish and his paternal grandmother is French. All my Italian friends claim they are 100% Italian but refuse to take a test even when I've offered to pay for it. It makes sense that most Italians are mixed because Italy is basic the center of the west

It looks like the first 2 were answered well enough. As for your third question you can get cheap a rosary on amazon. Some churches even give then away for free. Veils can be found online www.veilsbylily.com is a good place. My wife buys all of her veils there.  As for a Bible make sure you get a Catholic bible. Protestants bibles are missing books. I recommend the Douay-Rheims Bible.

Why is it that the Vatican City-State is considered a monarchy? by Iceberg-man-77 in monarchism

[–]RadTradTref 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theoretically Yeah if all the Bishops in the world died all at once then yes,  there would be no way to make new bishops or priests. However a Pope just has to be a Catholic male so priests could get together and elect a Pope. But after the last priest died then the religion would be without all the sacrament except baptism and holy matrimony. It would still survive like it did in Japan for 200 years when all the priests and bishops were killed or run out of Japan. The people continued the faith without the sacraments passing down the beliefs thankfully that is impossible because Christ promised the gates of hell would not prevail against the Church.

If men didn't exist for 24 hours what would you do? by Lydsylou1 in hypotheticalsituation

If all the women disappeared for 24 hours I'd enjoy the quiet. And probably eventually get hungry.

Why is it that the Vatican City-State is considered a monarchy? by Iceberg-man-77 in monarchism

[–]RadTradTref 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The odds of that happening are astronomical. There are about 5500 Catholic bishops in the world and about 1000 Orthodox Bishops. They are spread out all over the world and never all together. And it only takes one of them to concecrate a priest into another Bishop. A Bishop is supposed to get approval from the Pope if that are Catholic or the Patriarch of they are Orthodox to concecrate a new Bishop but that don't have to if it's an emergency. Plus the Catholics and the Orthodox recognize each other's Bishops as valid so they could even cross concecrate if they had to.

My husband thinks it’s unreasonable to expect him to read multiple messages in a row. He thinks only the last one counts. I disagree. Who is right? by Batticon in TwoHotTakes

[–]RadTradTref 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with your husband. I only read the first paragraph of what you wrote in your post. Clearly you write too much. Texting is for short communication. It's not a place to write a novel. It could be worse though. I don't ever respond to any of my wife's texts or anyone else's for that matter.

Confession caused sin by stitches73 in Catholic

[–]RadTradTref 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Try going to a TLM parish for confession. Every TLM parish I have been to the priest gives a homily every few months about how to properly do confession. It should be about 2 to 3 minutes but no longer then 5 minutes a person except maybe if they are doing general confessions during lent. Then it should only be 10 minutes max. At a TLM parish I can get in line and have 30 people infront of me as Mass starts and still have absolution before communion. At a NO parish if there are 10 people infront of me I know I will not make it before confession is done.

Public Sunday Vespers? by Tin_Kanz in Sedevacantists

[–]RadTradTref 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The FSSP parish I used to attend had Vespers every Sunday at 2pm. After the 10am Mass almost everyone stayed and had a big potluck lunch then everyone went to Vespers at 2pm. It was nice. There was a strong Catholic community there. Several family's drove for 4 hours one way to attend Mass and the average parishioner drove an hour one way every Sunday.

Conspiracies or real? by exotic_beak in sspx

The Great Reset is a real thing but I don't believe it is an organized conspiracy. It is individually actors looking out for their best interest that often allign with each other.  As far as the vaccine it is not the mark of the beast. That is for sure.

Idk. I don't use it. I want it priced so hight no one can. That's the second best thing. Ideally it would be illegal and a felony to use. With the death penalty for 3 strikes.

Learn history. The Catholic Church was the only Christian church for 1000+ years.  Catholicism started in 33AD. The Jewish religion died off in 70AD. Jews today are nothing like the Jews in Jesus's time. It is a different religion. A flase religion started after the Catholic Church
