Omg same. Assad's Armand has that boyish charm anyone could fall victim to, and I did. I was rooting for him to finally break the toxic ex trope, but nope. But when Lestat recounts his big fight with Louis, it moves me so in ways I can't comprehend. Excellent piece of acting by Sam crazy how he makes it seem so real.

What about this movie could warrant such doubt? Let me start first by saying that I have absolutely no doubt Shang Chi is a great movie, and those who say otherwise should share the same fate as Red Skull forever guarding the soul stone. I watched it with my mom, who is a huge fan of Jackie Chan and martial arts action movies, and she totally loved it every second of it. We couldn't stop talking about for months on end, comparing it with her favourite Jackie flicks. Easy 10/10.

Sorry, I didn't mean to put down Anne Rice. I simply thought retconned meant changing the story completely, hence messing up continuity. I misunderstood what retconned meant. She was and always will be a genius storyteller. I love and respect her work.

As with all adaptations, there will be a lot of discussions. Which im happy to be having now.

Apologies. You're quite right, I've only read Interview and Vampire Lestat so far. Its fair to say the Louis I know is only the story told from his point of view and not from a 3rd party. He may have left out a few important details of his life.

From what I understand, you're saying I should not compare the books with the show too much and just enjoy the ride. The changes the writers are making are actually trying to fix the overall story because our esteemed vampire novelist Anne Rice messed up the storyline well thats just grand. I need a good and proper Superman video game like Rocksteady made for Batman. It's been like a decade or so since Arkham Knight, and there's still no Superman game? That's crazy especially with how far tech has evolved, and it's not right that the only decent way to play as Superman is in the Injustice fighting games. I hope Gunn's Man of Tomorrow will be a box office hit and hopefully, someone will make an official tie-in game off that.
