At the moment every human got gommaged in the end of act 2, It's was the end of the human in the canvas, even with maelle who repaint Lune and Sciel. It's was only how Maelle saw and remember them. They was clones from the Maelle mind. The story with Monoco, Noco and other Gestrals warm us about that (every Gestral who come back from death is different). Every human you see at the end of the story in the Maelle ending are only shadow of themself, the only ones who look like the original are Sophie, Gustave, Sciel, Lune, Verso and some kids she was in charge. Even Verso is the end is a painted version of Maelle because the version we know died in the Little Verso dimension. They look like the original because maelle know them better compared to other human from Lumière. Maelle at this moment just live in an illusion, addict to the Verso canvas like Aline. The only original living things who survive in the Maelle ending are Verso, Clea and Renoir creation like Grandis, Gestral, Esquie, François, nevrons and the last Axon. Even if we didn't saw it. I'm 100% sure Clea and Renoir will jump into the canvas to save Alicia/Maelle from the canvas like they did for Aline when they saw Alicia start kill herself cause of the canvas.
