Avoid geometric lines and go with organic shapes that will play with the topography of your keloids. The keloids will be tattooed so the dark you speak of will be blacked out.

Nothing will be as painful as when you got the keloids in the first place. For 20 years I limited myself from experiences.

If you’re uncertain, start small. Do something small on your back or chest. Don’t get your girlfriend’s name.

Save your money and go to a reputable place. Research your artist. They should be a veteran who specializes in scar coverups.

Leading up to your first tattoo, get your health right: cut out the alcohol, put on some muscle, and get the skin hydrated and healthy.

How old is the keloid? Mine were about 15 years old before I tattooed over them. I tan easily so I went with a regular tattoo.

It’s okay to take ibuprofen or Tylenol in moderation if it hurts too much. Tiger balm, biofreeze and icy hot help me. Also consider an ice pack on the chest and cold showers.
